Just two months after turning 17, Kayne Finley learned he had DIPG brain cancer. The #cannonballsforKayne MOVEMENT initially began with the swimming community on social media as an inspiring and fun way for swimmers, friends and family to rally and cheer up Kayne. Diving right in to community service and philanthropy, Kayne quickly established his foundation and began sharing his faith, raising support and awareness for DIPG and inspiring others before he went to his heavenly home the day after Thanksgiving in 2017.

While there are over 120 different types of childhood brain tumors, DIPG/DMG is the most underfunded, the least researched and the most aggressive in children, leaving many families feeling helpless, yet desperate, to get the best medical care for their child. The financial stress of these situations can have long-term effects on families.  Researchers believe by uncovering a cure to DIPG, the mystery will be unlocked for many other cancers that cause death, making your participation and contributions very meaningful for affected children and adults.

The Cannonballs for Kayne Foundation strives to improve the lives of those affected with a childhood brain cancer diagnosis.  This event is a celebration of Kayne's life and serves as a way to carry on his vision.  It is our belief that each individual can make ripples in the water; together we will MAKE WAVES!
