Hometown Heroes 5 K

On Sunday, May 19th 2019 Starting Point Sports along with the Running Running Zone Race Management Team will present its inaugural Hometown Heroes 5k Run /Walk at the Degroodt Library, Palm Bay.  Beginning at 7:00 a.m., the day includes a 5k run/walk along with a military and first responders team run finishing with a kids race.  Portion of the proceeds will benefit several local and national charities to include:  AM Vets, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, American Cancer Society and Heritage High School Athletics.  This event is dedicated to the men and women who serve in the military, those who served and our local first responders (Police, Fire Fighters, Doctor’s, Nurses and Emergency Medical Services.  We have partnered with The Running Zone Race Team to present a fantastic annual event for our local community in Palm Bay.  Starting Point Sports organization is dedicated to youth athletics and provides assistance and training to kids in Cross Country, Track and Field, Soccer, Basketball, and Wrestling.
