FCPA Cleft Proud "Miles for Smiles"

OUR CAUSE

July is National Cleft and Craniofacial Awareness and Prevention Month, a time to raise awareness and improve understanding of lip / palate clefts and other head or facial anomalies.

"Miles for Smiles" is a fundraising event for the Florida Cleft Palate - Craniofacial Association (FCPA). This 30+ Mile Challenge is virtual, so everyone can join in, no matter where you are or how you choose to participate. It’s easy to be part of this family-friendly event.

DETAILS

Here's the challenge: Bike, walk, swim, or run 30+ miles in the month of July. You can do it all in one day or spread it out over the course of the month. Just remember to log your miles! Everyone who signs up will receive a Miles for Smiles t-shirt, and if you don't want one, you can opt out and save $20 on your registration. All t-shirt orders are due on or before July 24. Shirts will be mailed in August. Everyone who completes the challenge will be acknowledged on our website and social-media accounts. 

Registration: $25 per person, 14 and older
13 and under join in the fun for FREE
Registration opens June 27, 2022, and closes July 31, 2022.

• Form a team: Don’t want to go solo? Ask your friends, family, or co-workers to join you!
• Raise money: Set up your personal or team event page so your friends and family can sponsor you!
• Log your miles: Track your miles on the Report Mileage tab between July 1 – July 31 and watch your progress on the event’s virtual “map.”

HOW TO RECORD PROGRESS

It's easy! Just visit the race home page and click on the "RESULTS" tab at the top. From there, click on the button that says "Submit Virtual Results," enter your name, and then record each activity.
