Global Running Wild Day Virtual Scavenger Hunt Run

Global Running Day is this coming Wednesday (6-3-2020) runners! Just because we aren't able to all get together for a big group run right now doesn't mean we can't spend global running day celebrating the sport that unites us! The Global Running Wild Day Virtual Scavenger Hunt Run is a FREE virtual event where you set your own start time, your own route, and your own distance. Invite all of your Pensacola area friends to participate in the challenge to earn a free, custom, limited edition #globalrunningwildday t-shirt from Running Wild!

Here's how it works:

We've all seen those painted pelican statues (pelicans in paradise) scattered throughout the Pensacola area right? The goal is to go out for a run, along the way get as many selfies with different pelican statues as you possibly can and then post about your fun adventure on social media so we can all share about our experiences! Once you've all finished your runs we will be searching #globalrunningwildday on Facebook and Instagram to see who completed the challenge and printing custom t-shirts with all of the participant's names on the back! Once they are printed you will be able to swing by the shop at your convenience to pick up your t-shirt!

Step one: Register for the race, Plan a route that passes by at least one of the "Pelicans in Paradise" and GO RUN! 

Step Two: Take Selfies with all of the Pelicans you pass by on your run. Here is a link to a map of all of their locations! Map of Pelican Locations

If you are in the Fairhope area you can take your photos near iconic Fairhope landmarks (such as the flower clock, the painted wall, the pier, the fountain, etc.) You can also search for Pelican art around town!

Step Three: Post your Selfies on Facebook and/or Instagram, Tag Running Wild, and use #globalrunningwildday in the post so we can find you. Make sure you follow us on Facebook and Instagram too! 

Step Four: Come into the store and pick up your free custom #globalrunningwildday T-shirt once they are printed and ready for pickup.

Bonus points for: Tagging other local businesses in your photos, Complimenting a stranger while you are running, doing your run with friends while practicing social distancing, Giving other runners thumbs-ups, Posting your activity on Strava with #globalrunningwildday in the title, Being creative and having fun!
