Join K9s United on Saturday, April 14th. 2018 in the Nocatee Community for the K9s United 9K for K9s. This annual event will include the 1 mile fun run (untimed), the classic 5k and new for 2018, the challenging 9k! Both the 5k and 9k will be chip timed with awards for the top runners in each category. All the runs are open to runners and walkers of all levels. Can't make it out on race day, that's okay...we are offering a "NO EXCUSE" Virtual 5k or 9k options, so you can still be part of the fun, earn a T-shirt and medal, all the while supporting a great cause. Last year we had 13 states represented. This year we want to see all 50 get into the fun.
In addition to the race there will be amazing post-race activities for the whole family including kids arts and crafts, a K-9 photo booth to get your picture taken with your favorite K9 Hero, and everyone’s favorite, a K-9 demonstration that will be bigger and better than ever.
RUN FOR FREE! If you raise $100 or more though our fundraising portal, you get to run in the race of your choice for free! This is a great way to support our K9 Heroes and receive a great reward yourself.

Runner Amenities & Activities
SHIRTS & DOG BANDANA
All runners registered by April 1st are guaranteed to receive a t-shirt of their requested size OR a K9s United branded dog bandana. All runners registering the last two weeks of the race will receive a dog bandana in place of a T-shirt as supplies permit.
RACE DAY ACTIVITIES
In addition to the race, there will be tons of activities for all ages.
- New K9 Photo Booth where you and your family can get your picture taken with your favorite K9 Hero
- Vendors showcasing their products and services to you
- Veterans United Brewery will be on hand for adult beverages
- Energizing music for our runners
- My Gym will be donating services for kids activities
- Home Depot will be providing building activities for the kids
- There will be K9 demonstrations from our area K9 Units that will be bigger and better then ever

OVERALL AWARDS
Overall Awards will be presented as follows and will include gift cards at local merchants and pint glasses to the winners:
Men - 1st Place, ($100 Gift Card), 2nd Place ($50 Gift Card), 3rd Place ($25 Gift Card)
Women - 1st Place, ($100 Gift Card), 2nd Place ($50 Gift Card), 3rd Place ($25 Gift Card)
MASTERS (Over 40)
Masters Awards will be presented to the top finishers 40 years or older as follows and will include gift cards and pint glasses to the winners:
Men - 1st Place ($50 Gift Card)
Women - 1st Place ($50 Gift Card)
AGE GROUPS - 5 YEAR INTERVALS
Age group awards, pint glasses, will be presented to the top three men and the top three women in the following age groups:
0-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 Plus
Runners will only receive one award: overall, masters, or an age group award. Placements for awards are based on gun time, not chip time unless otherwise noted. The 1 Mile Fun Run will not have any awards

The 5K starts and finishes under the finish line arch in the field next to the "Swim Club" 8 lane lap pool.
TURN BY TURN: Runners will turn left off of the field, and then another left out of the parking lot. Runners follow outside of the Splash water park parking area. Runners turn right onto the Nocatee golf cart trail towards the round about. Stay on this trail till water station #1. Then runners turn right onto the Nocatee Greenway trail towards the County Park. At the 3 way intersection, all runners turn left for a short "out and back" section. Runners will hit the turn around on the middle of the wooden bridge. This is also water station #2. Runners return to the 3 way intersection and turn left. The trail will reconnect to he Splash water park parking area, Turn right onto the parking lot drive. Turn right again at the stop sign towards the open field. Runners turn right again to enter the field and the finish line shoot. Finish under the arch.

***At the 4 way intersection near the "Swim Club' 9K runners will turn left and repeat the loop for a second time. There will be signs saying 9K left to second Loop & 5K / 9K to finish. This is the only deviation the 9K course makes from the 5K course.
1 Mile Fun Run
The 1 Mile fun run will start and finish in the open field under the start/finish arch. The 1 Mile is an out and back course following the same .5 miles on the 5K course, and then returning along the same route.

Virtual Race/Walk
The Virtual Race/Walk can take place anytime between the day you register and May 21st. We will do our best to get your packet out to you as close to the race date as possible. We want to encourage you to take a selfie after you complete your 5k or 1 mile walk and post it to our Facebook page.
Packet Pickup
EARLY PACKET PICKUP
Packet pickup will take place Friday 4-7 in Nocatee, right at the race site / finish area.
Come hungry... Nocatee will also be hosting its Food Truck night at the same time and place. Look for us in the field with the Food Trucks.

DAY OF RACE PACKET PICKUP
All participants will pickup their packets at the race location on race day during the times listed on the Event Schedule.
Chip Timing
The 9km and 5km races will be chip timed using a bib chip system. Chips will be distributed at the packet pickup. All runners must cross the mat at the finish line with their chip properly attached to their shoe to score in the race. Chips will NOT have to be returned at the conclusion of the race at the finish line.

Race times and dates are subject to change without notice at any time for any reason. In the event the race time or date is changed or if the race is cancelled, for any reason, there will not be any refunds under any circumstances. In the event of bad weather every effort will be made to conduct the race, however it may be moved to an alernate date, time, or cancelled within hours of the starting time. Please be sure to check the PRS Race Timing website and Facebook page for updates prior to departing to the race for any last minute changes or instructions.
