Virtual Hero 5K Children's Grief Awareness with the Franz Ross YMCA & Valerie's House

When you participate in the Virtual Hero run you are supporting  children in your community during National Children’s Grief Awareness Month.  In the state of Florida, 1 in 8 children will suffer the loss of a parent or sibling before they turn 25. In Southwest Florida alone, nearly 1,000 families each year are touched by the death of a loved one.  Race proceeds help kids who are grieving the loss of a family member receive mentoring, support, and counseling at Valerie’s House and scholarships for youth programs at the Y.
