Edgewater Run-4-Others Race Series Mosquito 10K & Run-4-Others 5K Run/Walk

Packet Pick Up     You will have 5 opportunities to pick up your packets.

Tuesday May 19th at  Fit2Run Sarasota.   1400 Main Street, Sarasota FL 5:00PM until 8:00PM.

Wednesday May 20th at Fit2Run, Coconut Point Mall, 23190 Fasion Dr. # 109, Estero, FL 5:00PM until 8:00PM

Thursday May 21st at Fit2Run University Park.  8249 Cooper Creek Blvd. University Park, FL. 5:00PM until 8:00PM

Friday May 22nd at Edgewater United Methodist Church, 19190 Cochran Blvd. Port Charlotte FL                    4:00PM until 7:00PM

There will also be Pick UP at the Church on Race Day from 5:00 AM until 6:15 AM.

This is the spring race in the Edgewater Run-4-Others race series. This will be a timed 5k and a timed 10K race through the heart of Port Charlotte Florida.   The Mosquito 10K will Start at 6:30 AM and the Run-4-Others 5K  Run/Walk will start at 6:40 AM from the Edgewater United Methodist Church.    All runners will recieve a Finsihers Medal and a really cool competition race shirt Race T-Shirt.    The 10K and 5K shirt will be different.    Individual awards will go 3 deep in both races with the following age groups <5, 6-8, 9-11, 12-14, 15-17   Adults will go 3 deep in the following age groups 18-22, 23-27, 28-32, 33-37 38-42, 43-47, 48-52, 53-57, 58-62, 63-67, 68- 72, 73-78, 79+.   we will also award Youth overall Female and Youth overall Male,    Female overall and Men's overall.  Men Masters, Female Masters, Male Grand Masters, Female Grand Masters, Male Senior Grand Masters and Female Senior Grand Masters and Male Veterans Masters and Female Veterans Masters.   The after Party will be a blast with fun for everyone!  With a huge Inflatable obstical course, and bounce house, music and food! 

This race is being run to raise money for  "Imagine No Malaria".   Unlike many other diseases that are awaiting a cure, malaria was eliminated in the U.S. in the 1950s. However, in Sub-Saharan Africa, malaria continues to kill a person every 60 seconds. But there is hope! Imagine No Malaria is part of a global partnership and together with our partners, our generation can beat malaria once and for all.     All net proceeds go to this Charity!

The morning of the race you should arrive at Edgewater Church at 19190 Cochran Blvd. in Port Charlotte, FL no later than 6:00 AM. Packet Pickup will open at 5:00 AM and will remain open until 6:15 AM. Late registration will also be available on Race Day from 5:00 AM until 6:15 AM. Grab a few friends to run with you!  Parking will be at the Church.  There will be a brief Pre Race Meeting directly in front of the DJ booth at 6:10 AM. We will then move to the Starting Line. There will be 2 corals at the Start Line. One for the 10K and one for the 5K.  Walkers should line up behind the 5K coral. This race will be a timed start so your time will not start until you cross the Starting line. Your timing chip is in your bib. When you cross the finish line ,you will be handed your Finishers Medal. Bottled water will also be available at the finish line. Then proceed back to the area in front of the DJ where bananas and your pancake breakfast will waiting for you. The awards ceremony will be held in front of the DJ booth as soon as the final runners cross the line and all the data is compiled. All of the inflatables and attractions will open at 7:00AM so bring your friends and your family to cheer you on. If you have a family member that would like to volunteer on the course to direct the runners and cheer you on please have them arrive at 5:30AM. It is going to be a great Race and a really fun day!
This will be a timed 5K and a 10K Race. Every runner will receive a beautiful 3” finishers medal. (see attached) Registrations recieved before 05/01/2015  11:59 PM are guaranteed to recieve a gender specific commemorative competition T-Shirt featuring the race logo on the front, along with all the sponsors will be on the back. Registrations after May 3, 2015,  will recieve a T-Shirt as availability allows. Your size will not be guaranteed. Upon completion each runner will receive a Pancake breakfast from IHOP restaurant. We will be awarding 1st, 2nd and 3rd in all age groups along with Masters and Grand Masters. There will also be an after party featuring a DJ. We will have  inflatables, for kids of all ages. The after party and all the rides are free and open to the public.  Our race will benefit Imagine No Malaria. I will post the final route soon.
