The 14th Annual Turkey Day 5K in Sanford, Florida is back!! While the pandemic these past couple of years has drastically changed all of our lives, we are excited to return to our more traditional event as Seminole County's largest Thanksgiving Day fun run. This event is open to all participants - competitive runners, joggers and walkers as a great annual tradition for all families and friends.
And don't forget - Free Starbucks Coffee, Hot Chocolate and donuts from Sanford's own Donuts To Go.
Turkey Day 5K In Person Costume Contest:
Come dressed in your favorite and most unique Thanksgiving Day costume. Be sure to arrive early so that our judges can select our finalists by 7:35am. At 7:40am, we will have the finalists gather by the starting corral where all of the participants in the race will vote by loudest applause for the overall winner. The winner of the costume contest will received a $100 Visa gift card. This contest is open to all registered participants with a race bib.

Timing and Scoring:
This fun run will be chip timed. All registered runners will receive individual times. Times will also be posted on the results board onsite as well as live results online.
Finisher Medals:
All participants will receive a finisher medal.
T-Shirts:
All runners registered by Monday, November 6 will be guaranteed their requested shirt size. We will do our best to accommodate anyone registering after Monday, November 7th to get their requested shirt size, however shirt sizes may limited.
AWARDS:
We will have awards for the top ten men and women finishers.

Pre Race Packet Pick Up
Pre event packet pick up will be Monday, November 20th from 10:00am to 7:00pm, Tuesday, November 21st from 10am to 7pm, and Wednesday, November 22nd from 10am to 3pm at Front Running Sports located at 1061 S. Sun Drive, Unit 1097, Lake Mary, FL 32746. If you are not able to make it to pick up early, you may have a friend or family member pick up for you. No I.D. required. Also, we will have your packet available for pick up the morning of the event at the event site starting at 7am
Everyone is Welcome:
This is an event for ALL levels to participate. Runners, Walkers, and strollers and baby joggers are all welcome.
Event Beneficiary:
This event will benefit the HOPE Helps, Inc. HOPE Helps, Inc's mission is to prevent and reduce homelessness in Central Florida by equipping individuals and families to become self-sufficient through Housing, Outreach, Prevention, and Education.. We ask ALL participants on race morning to bring some non perishable food to help stock their food pantry and feed those in need.
Also, feel free to bring used running shoes. This is VERY POPULAR each year and we were able to give out dozens of pairs of shoes to those in need. :)

*** Please note: The walk from the parking lot areas to the start line can take up to 10 minutes. ***
All streets marked with "RED" are closed for this event. The best way to get to the parking areas is to travel on 3rd Street from 17-92. Once you reach Palmetto, turn left towards the parking areas. Law enforcement and Citizens on Patrol will be at 1st Street to guide you to the parking areas shown on the attached map. Follow the "BLUE" line for the quickest way to the parking areas.
