Wop's Hops Brewing Co. Jim Payne 5K Benefitting Kids House

A Flat and Fast 5K (3.1 miles) course in Historic Downtown Sanford along the gorgeous Lake Monroe waterfront. The Start and Finish will take place at Wop's Hops Brewing Co.  All Friends and Family are encouraged to run or walk this beautiful 5K benefiting Kids House Children’s Advocacy Center.  It is Seminole County’s child abuse prevention and treatment center. This morning run/walk will be chip-timed. All participants will receive a race bib with a disposable Timing Chip.

Kids House Wayne Densch Children’s Advocacy Center serves as the single point of contact for child abuse investigations for Seminole County, Florida.  Our mission is to prevent child abuse and to aid child abuse victims and families by providing coordinated services in a safe, child-friendly environment, from report and investigation through treatment and resolution. Each year, nearly 2,000 children visit our center for forensic interviewing and medical examinations, crisis intervention and advocacy, referral and information, mental health therapy and education and prevention services.

PACKET PICKUP DATES & TIMES
Early Packet Pickup will take place on Friday May 28th, 2021 from 4-7 pm at Wop's Hops Brewing Co (419 Sanford Ave, Sanford, FL 32771).  If you are not able to make on Friday, you can pick up your race items on race day at Wop's Hops Brewing Co beginning at 6:15AM.

UNISEX COTTON EVENT T-SHIRTS
Each Registered Participant will receive a unisex cotton shirt. Sizes are not guaranteed for registrations received after May 15, 2021.

RACE DAY SCHEDULE:
6:15AM - Registration and packet pickup will take place
7:30AM - 5K start (pulsing start with small waves)
8:45AM - 5K ends
8:45AM - 9:00AM - Awards Ceremony at Wop's Hops Brewing Co.

We will be hosting a raffle on race day!  All registered and paid participants will receive 1 FREE RAFFLE ticket and will be automatically entered into the drawing for the raffle!  You will have the chance to purchase more raffle tickets as well on race day.  See below list for a quick "taste" of some of the cool and fun prizes the team has secured:

EVENT PARKING
Parking is plentiful just a few blocks from the race start location in downtown Sanford not far from Fort Mellon Park.  Please see the 5k Course map for more information and parking icon locations.

RESTRICTIONS
For safety concerns in-line skates, skateboards, and dogs will not be allowed on the course.

TIMING & SCORING
Race will be timed and scored with a disposable chip provided, which will be attached to the back of the bib.  We do ask that all participants wear their bib number on the front of the shirt or shorts.
