Virtual Frosty 5K
Description
The Frosty 5K is back for the lucky 13th year! Saturday, December 17, 2022. Starting and finishing at Twin Lakes Park, Sarasota, through the adjacent neighborhood. We will be using the same wide-open road course as the past three years, no grass or paths, all asphalt surfaces for a smooth, fast course.
Runners and walkers of all levels are welcome for this Frosty good time. Race Perks Include:

- Great Tech Shirt in Gender Specific and Youth Sizing (Register early-supply chain issues make it even more important if you want your shirt size!)

As part of our commitment to the health & safety of our participants, race crew, volunteers and spectators, we will implement procedures and protocols commensurate with public health situations and based on guidance from local, national and international health agencies.
If you can't join us in-person, you can register for the Virtual Frosty 5K and still get your Frosty on virtually anywhere! And do it any time between December 10th and December 31st to submit your own Virtual Frosty 5K results online. Your Virtual Frosty 5K race packet will be mailed the week of December 11th as long as you register before December 9th. After the 9th, Virtual Frosty 5K packets will be mailed as our hectic race week schedule and long lines at the post office permit.
Race morning schedule:
- Packet Pick-Up: 6:30 a.m. to 7:45
- Race Start: 8:00 a.m.
- Post-Race Celebration: First Finisher until 10:00 a.m.
- Costume "Contest": About 9:15
- Awards Presentation: When our age group winners have finished

Health Protocols
We will implement protocols and/or increase precautions as warranted by the conditions at the time of the Frosty 5K.
The Frosty 5K is chip-timed by Durti Timing and participants will receive their own finish time and preliminary results to their phone or email as selected during registration. (Please allow a few minutes after you finish for the results to be "pushed" from the finish line equipment, bounced around cell towers, arriving to RunSignUp then back to your device.) Results will be available on RunSignUp and we will post the QR code link to view and search results online at locations around the post-race in addition to posting printed results on-site.
YES there will be awards presented at the post-race (plus a costume contest!) but if you cannot stay for the awards, they will be available for pick up at the New Balance Stickney Point location after the Frosty 5K.

Parking and Caution Walking About the Park
Twin Lakes Park 1/2 mile east of I-75 on Clark Road, ( I-75 exit 205)
Lots of easy, free parking available.
Enter Twin Lakes via the main entrance off Clark Road into Twin Lakes Park and paved, lined parking areas are to the right or more parking in the large grass areas beyond the intersection between the baseball fields. OR proceed another 0.2 miles on Clark Road to Ibis Street. Turn right on Ibis Street, 0.3 miles, turn right into Twin Lakes Park and plenty of parking is available in the grass areas between the baseball fields.
Use caution when arriving and moving about the park. Swales and low lying areas frequently contain standing water. We recommend you stay on the designated roads, sidewalks and footpaths.

Transfers, Refunds and Cancellation
Registrations are non-refundable. Timely transfers to the Virtual Frosty 5K or transfers to another individual initiated by 12/9/2022 are allowed for any reason, just notify us via email and be sure to receive confirmation. Transfers to the Virtual Frosty 5K because of a positive COVID test, quarantining or sickness will be allowed until 7:30 a.m. race morning. Race packets for participants who transfer to the Virtual Frosty 5K after 12/9/22 will NOT be mailed; your race packet will be available for pick up after the race, location TBD.
Frosty 5K is a rain-or-shine event; however, the event organizers reserve the right to cancel the event due to severe, inclement weather; emergency; natural disaster, or other unforeseen circumstances beyond the organizers' control. In the event of cancellation due factors beyond the organizers' control, participants will be given the option to transfer to the Virtual Frosty 5K or to receive a partial refund of their registration fees.
