Hernando County 10K

This is a FREE 10K race! The purpose of this event is to help give us something fun to train for until races return!  Anyone can participate and everyone is to run (or walk) the same exact course!

The course starts and finishes at Anderson Snow Park and is entirely on the Suncoast Trail.  The course essentially consists of two out/back sections going south first, and then north.  The start/finish line is located just past the start of the path to the Suncoast Trail near the south end of the parking lot.  Once runners get to the trail after about 0.13 mile, they are to turn right.  The turnaround is just before County Line Road.  Runners then head north all the way to Corporate Blvd. where the second turnaround is located.  Finally, runners head back to the start/finish line.  In order to keep the course safe, it does not go over any roads.  See below for links to Course Map and Course Description.

This is basically a virtual event, but with everyone doing the same course.

Results will be posted upon the completion of the event just like a normal race!  Pictures are encouraged to send via facebook!

The 10K can be done anytime between 8/26/20 - 9/9/20.  Please send a link (Strava, Garmin Connect, etc.) to your activity via a message to the Hernando County 10K facebook page or email to jettaoliver314@gmail.com.  If emailing, please title your message "Hernando County 10K."  (The elapsed time of the activity should be comparable to the moving time.)
