K9s United 9k For K9s

SHIRTS & DOG BANDANA
All runners registered by the shirt deadline April 12th MIDNIGHT, are guaranteed to receive a t-shirt of their requested size OR a K9s United branded dog bandana. All runners registering the last two weeks of the race will receive a dog bandana in place of a T-shirt as supplies permit.

RACE DAY ACTIVITIES
In addition to the race, there will be tons of activities for all ages.
- K9 Photo Booth where you and your family can get your picture taken with your favorite K9 Hero
- Vendors showcasing their products and services to you
- Energizing music for our runners
- There will be K9 demonstrations from our area K9 Units that will be bigger and better then ever

OVERALL AWARDS

Overall Awards will be presented as follows and will include gift cards at local merchants and pint glasses to the winners:

Men - 1st Place, ($100 Gift Card),  2nd Place ($50 Gift Card), 3rd Place ($25 Gift Card)
Women - 1st Place, ($100 Gift Card), 2nd Place ($50 Gift Card), 3rd Place ($25 Gift Card)

MASTERS (Over 40)

Masters Awards will be presented to the top finishers 40 years or older as follows and will include gift cards and pint glasses to the winners:

Men - 1st Place ($50 Gift Card)
Women - 1st Place ($50 Gift Card)

AGE GROUPS - 5 YEAR INTERVALS

Age group awards, pint glasses, will be presented to the top three men and the top three women in the following age groups:
0-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 Plus

Runners will only receive one award:  overall, masters, or an age group award.  Overall Awards are based off Gun Time, Age Group Awards are based off Chip Time.   The 1 Mile Fun Run will not have any awards

1 Mile Fun Run

The One Mile Fun run is a single out and back course following similar path of the 5K/9K

 

 

DAY OF RACE EVENT SCHEDULE

90 minutes to 15 minutes prior to the start of the race - Packet, Bib, & Chip Pickup

90 minutes to 30 minutes prior to the start of the race - Day of Race Registration (Cash or Check Only)

TIMELINE:

6:30 Packet Pickup / Race Day Registration

8:00am - 9km Run

8:00am - 5km Run

9:00am - 1 Mile Fun Run

9:00am - 5K Awards

9:15am - 9K Awards

9:30am - K9 Demonstration

Virtual Race/Walk

The Virtual Race/Walk can take place anytime between April 27th & 28th. All runners registered for the virtual race will receive an email Friday 4/26 with a unique link to submit your 5K or 9K run time.  We will be ranking and scoring all times submitted.  We are also asking you submit a "proof of time".  This can be a photo of a GPS enabled watch, or screenshot from your favorite running app.  Award certificates will be emailed back to all Virtual Runners that choose to submit times.   We also want to encourage you to take a selfie after you complete your 5k or 1 mile walk and post it to our Facebook page.

*VIRTUAL RUNNER SWAG PACKETS will be emailed out the Monday following the live race.

**The Larges CLUB/TEAM with the most participants at the race will receive a complimentary entry into next years event for EACH REGISTERED RUNNER.  To qualify in the club/team count runners must be pre-registered online, and must be listed on the roster for the CLUB/TEAM.

**The FUNDRAISER TEAM that raises the most in donations for the 501c3 will be awarded a free K9s United branded shirt for all fundraising team members.

Questions?

We will have parking volunteers directing and assisting you to park as you arrive.  Arrive early, as each parking lot is expected to fill.  As a lot fills, our volunteers will direct and park runners in the next available lot.
