Description
go.build.love.'s WALK FOR WATER is a one-day event on November 13, 2021. This event is a VIRTUAL EVENT where people from all over the world walk or run 6 kilometers, from their own homes and neighborhoods, to bring lasting clean water to communities in places like Haiti and around the world.
Why a 6K? It’s the average round trip distance women and children in the developing world walk for water — water that is often contaminated with life-threatening diseases. Every step you take is one they won’t have to.
This virtual event is great because you can do it anywhere! Walk or run the distance, by yourself or with your family, and be part of this global movement to change lives. Whether you join from the treadmill or your favorite trail, your neighborhood or the track … when you and hundreds of others around the world walk, jog, or stroller-run your way to 6K on Saturday, November 13th, 2021, you’ll bring life-changing clean water to those who need it most.
When you sign up, you will receive a race kit with everything you need to walk or run your 6K, including a T-shirt and everything you need to tell your WALK FOR WATER Story. Your registration benefits go.build.love.'s water initiatives around the world.
TELL YOUR STORY
On Saturday, November 13th , just run and track your 6K (3.73 miles) running time and snap a few photos and tag us on social media wearing your race shirt, using #gblwalkforwater2021. Even better... post a short video telling the world why you're walking/running and encourage others to join in the movement.
