Memorial to Memorial Veterans Day 5K
Description
Join us for a Memorial to Memorial Veterans Day 5K on Wednesday, November 11, at 8 AM, held in conjunction with the Tallahassee Veterans Day celebrations. This family-friendly race will highlight Tallahassee's downtown Veteran memorials, with start-line activities taking place at the Florida Vietnam Veterans' Memorial and finish line activities at Tallahassee's Korean War Memorial in Cascades Park. Runners and walkers alike will enjoy the 5K course that takes you around and through the beautiful Cascades Park, with a downhill finish on Suwannee Street.
Registration
Pre-registration closes Tuesday, November 10, at 5:59 p.m. EST
The first 150 registrants are guaranteed a T-shirt
- $25: Pre-registration with T-shirt (First 150 registrants are guaranteed shirt)
- $35: Onsite Registration
Prizes will be awarded to the top male and female finishers and top-three age group winners.
All race-day participants will receive a commemorative dog tag finisher medal.

Volunteers are needed to help with various activities during the Veterans Day Memorial to Memorial 5K on Wednesday, November 11, between 6 AM - 10 AM. This includes onsite registration and packet pickup, route directors, water station helpers and finish line cheerleaders. Details coming soon.
T Shirts
The first 150 registrants are guaranteed a T-shirt. After that, shirts will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Spotlight a Veteran Along the Veterans Day 5K Course
Honor a Veteran who has made a difference in your life with a special Spotlight a Veteran tribute during the Memorial to Memorial Veterans Day 5K. For a $35 donation, a personalized sign featuring your Veteran’s name, military branch and photo will be placed along the race course for participants and spectators to see.
Race Participants: Follow the prompts to make your donation to purchase a sign as part of your event registration fees.
Not Participating in the Race but Still Want to Donate: Visit the store here to make your donation to purchase a sign.
After your donation is received, you’ll receive a link to submit the Veteran’s information and photo. Spotlight a Veteran donations must be received by Friday, October 31, to allow time for sign production.

Race Route & Special Instructions
The race begins at 8:00 a.m. The Starting Line is at the Florida Vietnam Veterans' Memorial, located at 463-489 South Monroe Street. Enter the parking lot from Calhoun Street for onsite packet pickup and pre-race festivities.
Race Day Parking: Runners are encouraged to park near the Finish Line by the Korean War Memorial in Cascades Park. Parking is available in the lots near the Department of Transportation off Suwannee Street.
Race Route: Runners will head south on Calhoun Street for a brief out and back before heading down East Madison Street toward Franklin Boulevard, where they'll head north and return to enter Cascades Park. After weaving through the park, runners will enjoy a downhill finish on Suwannee Street, where finish line activities will commence at the Tallahassee Korean War Memorial.
