Freedom Firecracker 5K

Join Freedom Athletic Boosters & 3D Running Club for the second annual Freedom Firecracker 5k on June 29th, 2024, at Freedom High School in Tampa! This exciting event is a celebration of Independence Day. This event is a timed 5k that welcomes participants of all skill levels, whether you're a seasoned runner or just starting your fitness journey. The course at Freedom High School provides a great 2 loop course finishing on our brand new all weather rubber track, creating an enjoyable and memorable experience for all.

Freedom Firecracker 5K
Online registration for this event is open and will remain open until June 28th, and then may reopen for onsite race day registration on June 29th from 6-7am. Registration fees include an electronically timed 5k, a t-shirt, custom bib, and finisher medal. Shirts can only be guaranteed for signups on or before June 24th, 2024.

Freedom Firecracker 5k (Virtual)
This option is a virtual race, participants will be able to submit times but are not eligible for prizes. Registration fees include t-shirt, custom bib, and participation medal. Participants will have through June 29th at 6pm to submit their times. Shirts can only be guaranteed for signup before June 24th, 2024. 

Freedom Firecracker 1 Mile Fun Run
Online registration for this event is open and will remain open until June 28th, and then may reopen for onsite race day registration on June 29th from 6-7am. Registration fees include an electronically timed Mile, custom bib, and t-shirt. Shirts can only be guaranteed for signups on or before June 24th, 2024.

Packet Pickup
It is encouraged to pick up your packets prior to race day, but race day packet pick up is available. Early packet pickup will be held at a location Fleet Feet New Tampa on Thursday June 27th from 5pm - 7pm. You may arrange for someone else to pick up your packet for you, they will be required to provide the email address used during registration.

Awards
Finishers will receive a participant's medal as they finish each race.

Overall male and female will be based on gun time. All other awards will be based on electronic time. In addition to overall male and female, The Freedom Firecracker 5K will recognize masters male and female (fastest runners over 40). 

Freedom Firecracker 5K will recognize male and female 1st, 2nd, and 3rd placements in these age group categories: 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85+.

Overall and masters winners will not be eligible for age group awards, and there will be no double dipping in the overall and masters award categories.

Awards will be presented after the final finisher on June 29th, approx. 9:00 AM at Freedom High School.

Overall male & female finishers will receive a $25 gift card to Fleet Feet. Age group winners will also receive a prize.
