HOPE 5K & 10K Virtual Walk/Run

Welcome to HOPE 5K & 10K Virtual Walk/Run!!! 

Proceeds from this event will go to benefit A Door of Hope Foster Agency. Their goal is to provide a loving home for every kid in crisis. Children in foster care need a safe, loving home to find hope and healing.

Every day 6-8 children are removed from their homes because of abuse, neglect or abandonment. Tampa Bay is home to the highest number of removals in the whole state of Florida. With the current number of homes, the state is not able to provide a home for every child entering the system. Many are forced to sleep in buildings or go night to night in different foster homes or group homes. The cost to place 1 child is $500. We would love to cover the cost of at least 10 children or more with this virtual race. Will you join us?

By signing up for this virtual run/walk you become a part of helping children in crisis be placed in loving homes.

So how does a Virtual race work?
First: Choose your distance either the 5K or 10K. 

Second: Pick any time,date, and location convenient for you to complete the distance. 

Third: Complete race and post your pics on our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/RuntheRaceEvents/  and use hashtag #Runtheraceevents You can also submit your time if you would like to do that starting in September. We will announce race winners on our page.

All participants receive a medal, Virtual Participant bag, opportunity to win prizes and a printable bib.
Medals are expected to arrive by the end of September. As soon as they come in we will immediately ship them out to all who have already registered. You can wait to complete your race until after your medal arrives or complete it anytime before then. Remember to post on our Facebook page or tag us on Instagram @runtheraceevents #Runtheraceevents…there will be some giveaways for participants sharing their training and race day pics. Virtual Participant bag will be sent at the conclusion of the event.

Medals can be shipped anywhere in the U.S. If out of the U.S. please email us for an additional shipping fee cost.

All participants will be entered automatically to win prizes. See our Giveaway prize photo album on Facebook for latest prizes being added.
