Description
After 3 years, we are finally bringing this run back! We are ready to ring in 2023 and we're celebrating the New Year with an exhilarating running event! Register to run the Tampa Resolution 5k or 10k Run at Al Lopez Park in Tampa, FL.
What are your goals for 2023? Achieve your first goal with us by finishing a 5k or 10k.
What do I get?
Every finisher will earn a medal, a holiday-themed performance shirt, and access to local sponsors and vendors.
This is a TIMED event! All bibs will be chip-timed.
What's Allowed?
- Strollers and wheelchairs are allowed on this course, but participants MUST stay to the right of the path to allow for passers.
- Service animals.
- Headphones are authorized, but we ask that you keep to a volume that allows you to hear race and park officials.
- Children 6 and older, can run the 5k. Children 10 and over can run the 10k.
What's NOT Allowed?
- Pets (except certified service animals).
- Double-wide (or wider) strollers. At some points on the course, the path isn't wide enough for three adults.
- Skateboards, bicycles, tricycles, skates, etc.

Course Map
This course will utilize the Al Lopez Park loops. Runners MUST run the large loop first, followed by the smaller loop. This completes the 5k run. 10k runners will complete this cycle twice.
*** VERY IMPORTANT!! PLEASE READ!! ***
Our timing mats are programmed to record times only after the runner completes the course in a specific order. If the runner fails to complete the course in the following order, your time won't be recorded and there will be NOTHING we can do to help you.
- 5k Runners: (BIG LOOP, SMALL LOOP)
- 10K Runners: (BIG LOOP, BIG LOOP), (SMALL LOOP, SMALL LOOP)
Once again, 10k runners will repeat the same course as the 5k runners, only they'll run it TWICE.
Packet Pickup
Packet Pick up will be at 81Bay from 3pm-6pm on Friday, January 3rd. Please make every effort to pick up your packet and help us avoid a late start time!
Form a Group
The group feature is a great way to get all your friends to run at a discounted price. To ensure that all groups pay a fair registration price, discounts will only be given once the group minimum is met. For example, if you create a group of 5-9 runners, a refund will automatically be given to the group only after the 5th member joins. The same is true for groups of 10-15 runners.
If a team isn't created, you'll need to create one during registration. If a team is already created, you can select the team when you register for the event.
Remember, you must have at least 5 runners identified before forming a group.
***Important!! A password is needed to join the group. If you don't have a password, contact the creator of the group! (Group pricing CANNOT be combined with any other discount). Groups cannot mix 5k and 10k runners within the same group.***
This feature will end on December 1st. After this date, all runners will be required to register individually at regular price.
5k Event
- 5-9 Runners: $20
- 10-15 Runners: $15
10k Event
- 5-9 Runners: $30
- 10-15 Runners: $25
Military Discount Available
For 2019, we've increased the discount for military service members and veterans from 15% to 20%. We support the U.S. Armed Forces, and we want to give back.
If you're a military service member, reservist, or a veteran of the U.S. military, you get a 20% discount on your registration. To qualify for this discount, you'll be required to show one of the following forms of identification to the volunteers at the registration tent. Without these documents, you will be banned from future NeoEndurance races.
- Military CAC ID (must not say "Civilian" or "Contractor")
- Retiree ID Card
- Veteran Affairs ID Card
- Driver's License with "V" symbol.
A DD-214 alone is not sufficient without photo identification that matches your document. In an effort to prevent fraud and abuse of this program, you'll be asked to show one of the above forms of ID when you pick up your bib packet. Use the promo code MILITARY20 at checkout.
Parking
There's free parking at the park, but spaces are limited. It's highly encouraged that you carpool or share-ride to Al Lopez Park.
Weather
This is a rain or shine event. We don't anticipate a drastic change in temperature. It is, after-all, the "Sunshine State". However, in the unusual circumstance that this event is cancelled due to extreme weather (hurricane or heavy unrelenting downpour), there will be NO REFUND! Instead, we'll reschedule the event to the next available weekend.
In the event of lightening in the area, we will postpone the event by an hour, possibly longer, or until the "all-clear" is given by park and race officials.

First, Second, and Third place finishers will receive an additional award in the following categories:
- Young Athletes (10-14)
- Inspiring Athletes (15-19)
- Warriors (20-26)
- Hard Chargers (27-34)
- The Motivators (35-49)
- The Professors (50-55)
- The Scholars (56-60)
- The Elitists (61 and over)
Placement finishers will receive a signed certificate by the Race Director with their certified time.

The Al Lopez Park is located in North Tampa, approximately 1/4 mile north of the Bucs Stadium.
