As you all are very much aware, due to the unfortunate events from the Global Pandemic, our Leprechaun's Run in March had to be changed at last minute into a virtual run. Rather than waiting it out much longer, it is with another heavy heart that we are planning to go ahead and switch over the July Independence Run to a virtual "Give Back" run. As stated previously, we'd like to make this a give back race. Instead of earning a t-shirt and medal, you will earn a gift card to spend in your community along with your bling. Both medals for the 5K and 10K will be the same. The design came from local Tampa artist, Marty Powell. Some of you may know Marty from The Dirt Road Prophets and O'Brien's (Tampa).
One day, we will all get to run together again. George and Barbie are very much looking forward to hosting their first live event with you all. Until then, we will see you online.
We are happy to announce that thanks to our new sponsors, there will be some awesome prizes for the Independence Run! Get your creativity juices flowing because the prize categories are:
We may not be able to run together as planned at Al Lopez Park, but we can still have fun running “together.” To be eligible for one of the prizes, you must submit your photo by midnight July 5, 2020. You can submit your entry two simple ways: either via Facebook or email. If submitting on Facebook, please be sure to use #Neoendurance so we can find your photo post. You may also submit your photo via email to info@neoendurance. Remember, photos must be received by midnight July 5th in order to be eligible for one of the prizes. One submission per runner (or couple for the couple’s award).
Awards will be announced on Medal Monday (July 6) and winners will be notified via email and on Facebook.
