ABOUT THIS EVENT:

 

Join us for the 10th Annual Buccaneers' Treasure Chests 5K + Fun Run, powered by Jabil on Sunday, October 9.

 

The Treasure Chests 5K + Fun Run, powered by Jabil, is a fall tradition that kicks off the NFL's Crucial Catch: Intercept Cancer initiative. This annual event raises funds to support breast cancer research and patient services, with a portion of each registration benefiting four Bay-Area non-profit organizations. Since 2013, the race has generated over $340,000 in support of the fight against breast cancer.

 

Both courses will finish in the Buccaneers Indoor Practice Facility at AdventHealth Training Center! 

 

 

   

REGISTRATION INCLUDES:

 

• Race bib (5K participants' will be chipped)

• Official Treasure Chests 5K + Fun Run t-shirt with team name on back (If ordered by Sept. 1st)

  • All registrants after that date will receive the general race shirt without team name on the back

• Commemorative finisher medal

• Downloadable finisher certificate

• Donation to breast cancer research and patient services

• First and second place winners receive medals in pre-selected categories

• Corporate Challenge Awards for:

  • Most donations collected

  • Largest Corporate Team

  • Fastest Team Time (determined by finish time of each group's top three runners)

Fun Run participants are not eligible for awards

 

 

COURSE DESCRIPTION: 

The 5K (3.1 miles) race is chip-timed and participants will receive a bib with a timing chip attached.  The chip will begin timing once you cross the start line, recording your net time until you cross the finish line.  The 1 mile Fun Run is an untimed/unchipped event.  Participants will be running/walking on both grass and concrete surfaces of varying terrain starting near the AdventHealth Training Center and ending inside the AdventHealth Training Center.  

 

PACKET PICKUP:

As a member of our Corporate Challenge, you will pick up your race packet the week of the race from the Team Captain.  You will receive more information when/where to pick up as the race approaches.

In order to pick up your packet, you will need to have filled out the online race waiver (separate from the one signed during registration).  If you register anyone other than yourself, you will need to make sure to send them their confirmation email (or enter their email at the time of purchase) so that they can go online and sign their own waiver.  You are not able to sign a waiver for anyone but yourself.                                 

 

 

CONTINGENCY:

If we are unable to hold a live race (for any reason, including due to COVID-19), the race will still take place in a virtual format. Registrations are not refundable or transferable in such an event. The net proceeds will be directed to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Foundation in support of breast cancer research and patient services

 

100% of the race entry fee is retained by Tampa Bay Buccaneers Foundation, Inc.
