UPDATE to START TIME: Don't forget to set your clocks before getting your pre-race sleep! DAYLIGHT SAVINGS time starts Sunday, March 8, 2 a.m. so "Spring Forward" The Shark Fin 5K will start at 8:15 a.m. DST instead of any previously advertised start time you may have seen. (Our flyers are wrong, OOPS!)
We still have plenty of custom embroidered hats and custom SockGuy socks for selection during your registration. Shirt sizes are running low. You can opt for "NO shirt, hat or socks" and save $5. If you'd like a shirt but your size is SOLD OUT, select "MySizeOUT. Check@race for$5shirt" and after your race finish you can check back to see if shirts in your size are available for only $5 that you saved. Socks, hats and any extra shirts remaining will be available for $10.
The Shark Fin 5K is a family-friendly run/jog/walk that will take you on a flat, fast journey on the Venice Airport Festival Grounds before a scenic loop along the Intercoastal Waterway on the Venetian Waterway Trail and back to the finish. ALL Shark Fin 5K finishers will get the Shark Fin custom finisher's medal. The Shark Fin 5K will be professionally chip timed with overall, category and age group awards given for 8 & under, 9 & 10, 11& 12, and 13 & 14 year-olds then 5 year age-groups to 85 and over.
The Shark Fin 5K event registration offers a gender specific short sleeve tech shirt or a custom Run-Dri embroidered running hat or custom SockGuy socks. If you would like both a shirt and other swag, be sure to select your shirt in the Giveaway selection and you will be able to add-on socks and hat later during registration.
Can't join us to run the Shark Fin 5K on Sunday? Register for the Virtual Shark Fin 5K and during registration select how you'll receive your race swag.
Your Megalodon Challenge registration will include a special souvenir and your choice of the participant tech race shirt (note: only one shirt!) , custom socks or custom hat. If you would like both a shirt and other swag, be sure to select your shirt in the Giveaway selection and you will be able to add-on socks and hat later during registration.
If you can't run with us in person, you can choose during your registration to make the Shark's Tooth 10K, Shark Fin 5K or both Virtual. Do them on your own schedule, your own route, even during another event. You'll receive your selected race swag and the Shark's Tooth 10K finisher's medal, Shark Fin 5K finisher's medal and the Megalodon Mega-Medal.
Already registered for the Shark Fin 5K? It's not too late. Contact the race and we will facilitate your transfer to the Megalodon Challenge. Registering separately for the Shark's Tooth 10K and Shark Fin 5K does not mean you are automatically in the Megalodon Challenge.
