Chamber 5K on the Runway

Once you arrive at this address, you will enter the gate on your right, and park in the large paved lot.

The Chamber 5K on the Runway is a 5K on the Vero Beach Regional Airport taxiway and runway beginning at 5:00 PM. This professionally chip-timed event will offer a unique race opportunity on a real airport runway making it a perfect fit for runners, walkers and families at all fitness levels. The course is flat and completely paved making it stroller and wheelchair friendly.  Shirts guaranteed for the first 400 runners!!

All proceeds from the race will benefit the Indian River County Chamber of Commerce and the Indian River County Leadership Foundation.

Race Day Schedule:

Thursday, February 26th: 2620 Airport NORTH Drive, Vero Beach, FL 

4:00 PM:  Race Day Packet Pickup & Registration Opens

4:45 PM:  Race Day Packet Pickup & Registration Closes

5: 00 PM:  5K Start

*Awards ceremony immediately following the race

Important Rules from the Airport:

• For your safety, no one is permitted to leave the track/runway at any time during the race. Please do not go on the grass.

• No sporting equipment such as frisbees, soccer balls, etc. allowed.

• When you cross the finish line, you will not be allowed to go back out onto the track. After finishing, please follow the directed exit route to the water and snack station.

• In order to maintain the safety and cleanliness of the airport, please make sure to dispose of any trash or race materials in the designated bins.
