5KnAround Challenge

Challenges give us the opportunity to have mini goals that lead us to larger goals.  They also give us a chance to escape the stressors of everyday life or help keep us on track for a healthier lifestyle of longevity and independence.  Registering for these Challenges helps to keep you on track and at the same time keep you active! Become a Wesley Chapel Runners Web Member, where you will find more Virtual Challenges throughout the year to intentionally keep you accountable with a “We Can” attitude to run or walk.

The 5KnAround Challenge is designed to push your limits just a little more than just an every day 5K, or you can just playfully 5K Around.  The Challenge will start on March 5th and be completed by May 5th, 2025.  You pick the day, time and place so whenever and wherever you want, that is the flexibility of a virtual challenge. This is “Your Race” at Your Pace!

Here are your recommended challenge choices. 

1. 5 times 5K in 5 hours - Run or walk a 5K every hour on the hour 5 times
2. 5 times 5K in 5 days - Run or walk a 5K every day 5 times (one 5K each day)
3. 5 times 5K in 5 weeks - Run or walk a 5K every week 5 times (one 5K each week)
4. 5 times 5K in 5 circles - Run or walk a 5K in a circle or on a track 5 times anytime during the challenge 
5. 5 times 5K in 5 progressions - Run or walk a 5K in negative splits (each 5K gets faster) 5 times anytime during the challenge

• 5KnAround Challenge participants will have add on options: The 5KnAround 2.75" medal and the 5KnAround Shirt! The shirt is a black, unisex sports tee with moisture-management fabric keeps you cool and dry during all activities. This modern classic fit of 50% cotton,  50% polyester, that styles easily and available in adult sizes S-3XL
  
  
• Track your progress on this Challenge's RunSignup race page, by clicking RESULTS and click on Submit Virtual Results. Finish times for the 5Ks' must be posted by the 6th of May. You will be able to see your progress tracking bar, receive badges achieved along the way and be able to follow others that are currently active in the Challenge. A link to log your miles will be emailed to you, the morning the challenge starts (March 5th, 2025) or use the Results button as stated. 
  
  
• Medal & Shirts (if you choose these options) will ship separately after registration closes (April 15, 2025); you must have a US address for shipping.  All runners and walkers will receive badges along the way and a finishers certificate.  Even if you don't finish in the time allotted, we know you will eventually, because of our “We Can” attitude!
