5k Challenges - How to win!
The Fun on Weekdays 5k presented by Garmin will consist of 5 total challenges - 4 pre-race challenges and the 5K race itself. Each challenge will award a number of points to the first, second, and third place teams. Pre-race challenges 1-4 will be active June 5th - July 21st, at 12:00 PM. The final challenge will be the 5k on July 22nd at Griffith park. The team with the highest number of points at the end of the race on July 22nd will be awarded the grand prize donation to a charity of the team captain’s choice. The highest total points a team can win is 300. Are you ready for it?!

Show your team some love!
Help your team reach the highest number of likes on their team announcement post on Fun on Weekdays Instagram by July 21st.
1st Place: 20 points
2nd Place: 10 points
3rd Place: 5 Points
Challenge 2:
Show us how you are training on TikTok!
Help your team reach the highest number of videos on TikTok by creating a video using your team hashtag + #FOW5K. Team Hashtags include: #TeamIsleofParadise5K, #TeamBumble5K, #TeamHaloTop5K
1st Place: 35 points
2nd Place: 16 points
3rd Place: 8 Points

Train with Garmin!
Help your team reach the highest number of “Add Yours” Instagram stories by showing your fun on weekdays, training, meet ups, or support for your team! (See Fun on Weekdays 5k Instagram story highlight for story sticker)
1st Place: 50 points
2nd Place: 25 points
3rd Place: 12 Points
Challenge 4:
Spirit Award
The team that has the most Fun on Weekdays 5k merchandise sales by July 21st wins! You will be able to add your team at checkout! 100% of the profit of all merchandise sales is being donated to charity!
1st Place: 75 points
2nd Place: 35 points
3rd Place: 16 Points
Challenge 5:
5k Race on July 22nd
The team that has the lowest average time will win!
1st Place: 120 points
2nd Place: 60 points
3rd Place: 30 points
The challenges allow all teams an equal chance to win the grand prize donation by leveling the playing field. If the majority of people on one team all walk and have the slowest race time, they are still able to win the overall 5K by winning pre-race challenges. The 5K will also award individual runners who are competing in the race. Grand prize donation amount is dependent on fundraising and will be announced at the end of the 5K during the awards ceremony.
