1. DO YOU LIMIT THE NUMBER OF RUNNERS IN EACH RACE?
The 5k is limited to 1000 participants.  The 1 mile fun run is limited to 200 participants. 
2. CAN I HAVE CELL PHONES, FRIENDS, STROLLERS, DOGS ON THE COURSE?
Friends and Family are welcome to cheer for you, but we kindly ask for them to remain off of the course for the safety of everyone.  You may have your cellphones and headphones, but we ask that you be diligently aware of your surroundings to ensure the safety of yourself as well as other athletes.  Bikes, skates, and skateboards are prohibited on the course.  If you would like to include your pet or a stroller you are asked to kindly place yourself at the back of the pack in order to ensure the safety of yourself, your child or pet, and other participants.
3. IS THERE A LOST AND FOUND?
Lost & found will be located near the awards area.  After the event, please contact Gloria at wallpt@bellsouth.net to see if items were turned in.  Clothing items left in the start areas and along the course are immediately donated to charity and are not kept in Lost & Found.
4. CAN I DEFER MY ENTRY TO NEXT YEAR?
At this time, we do not offer an opportunity to defer your race. However, we do allow you to transfer your registration to another participant as long as that transfer is completed within 10 days of the event. Deadline for transferring for this event is 4/03/24.  Transfers must be completed through the RunSignUp site and does not incur any additional fees.  Our event insurance will only cover participants who are registered through this site.  Instructions for how to transfer can be found Here
5. WHY HAVEN’T I RECEIVED AN EMAIL CONFIRMATION?
Note: If you did not receive your confirmation make sure to check the spam folder in your email box.  If it is not there, you can resend your confirmation by following these steps:. 
1. Sign in to RunSignUp
2. Go to your Profile
3. See your events under Upcoming Events
4. Click Resend Confirmation next to the registration that you would like to resend the confirmation email
5. Check the email listed in your Profile for your registration confirmation
6. HOW CAN I SEE IF I’M REGISTERED?
Registration confirmation is available online. You may confirm a registration by using the Find A Participant menu option on this page.
7. WHERE DOES MY REGISTRATION FEE GO?
Your registration fee helps to pay for the necessary permits, venue rentals, equipment, insurance, police, awards, SWAG, supplies, bibs, medals, shirts, and chip timing.  Club South is a Non-Profit club and revenue generated from our events are donated to other community non-profits, such as local schools, YMCA, Baton Rouge Food Bank, and many more. 
8. PACKET PICKUP
Packet pickup will be on Friday 4/12/24 at Varsity Sports from 11:00 am until 6:00 pm.  This is subject to change in the event of inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.  
9. WHERE SHOULD I PARK ON RACE DAY?
This event is in the beautiful University Acres neighborhood.  Please be respectful and avoid parking on lawns and blocking driveways.  Most parking can be found along Sunset Blvd.  Please carpool if that is an option.  Parking at Highland Elementary may not be available.  More information regarding parking will be provided as we approach race day.  
 10. WHERE DOES THE RACE START AND FINISH?
The 1 Mile Fun Run is an out and back course along Nelson Drive.  The 5k will start and finish on Nelson Drive as well but will loop around the neighborhood. 
11.  WHERE CAN I MEET MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS AFTER THE RACE?
The finish area will be on the grounds of Highland Elementary. We will have food and drinks for participants.  We use the honor system to supply food and drinks to our participants and volunteers.  We ask that family and friends who are not racing to please leave food and drinks for the athletes and volunteers.  We certainly don't want to run out of food before our last finishers cross the finish line.  Families and friends are certainly welcome to bring snacks while they wait for their athletes.
