You run at the Emmaus Compost Center (it’s not a dump!) between the tape of the cyclocross course. The bike race started in 2005, even though you’ve never heard of it. But here you are reading this, so now you’ve heard of it, so let’s get to business. The course is twisty and turny and usually a lot slower than most people think any reasonable running course should be. For this reason, we believe it to be the best cross-country race course in the history of Emmaus. You’re welcome. 

Bike racers often ask "What kind of rider does well here?" Uh, the coolest ones, duh. But, if you're still not sure, this course favors those who learn how to pilot their bike in awkwardly fast ways. "Awkwardly fast?" Yes. You'll slow down more than you speed up, as you learn how to navigate every type of corner we could imagine, you'll need to master to become one with the Karate Kid on your way to defeating the Cobras on the weekend. We like it that way, and we think a bunch of other people like it that way, too.

Ok, ok, ok. The course is set in August every year, and we do our best to keep it about the same every year, too. That said, it is an active compost center, and while this may surprise you, they still shake their heads at us as we mow lines into the fields as they drive their heavy machinery around. We canceled our Strava premium subscription a while back, so here is a map that's not completely accurate, but as we always say, the location is correct and stay between the tape when you get there!
