Elite 5k
The Elite 5k is a separate race run after the Citizen's 5k on a spectator friendly 4-lap criterium course around Sheldon Lake in City Park, Fort Collins. To run in the Elite 5k race participants must qualify with a previous race finish time.
Elite Race Start Times:
8:30 am - Elite Females, Masters (40+ male and female), High School (male & female)
8:32 am - Elite Males
Elite 5k Race Qualifying Times:
To qualify, participants must submit a link to race results showing a finish time meeting the standards listed below from a 5k race run on a certified course in the last 12 months.
Male Qualifying Time: 19:00 minutes or faster
Female Qualifying Time: 21:00 minutes or faster
Qualifying Times for Comp Entry:
To be eligible for an Elite 5k race complimentary entry submit qualifying race results (see times below) to: elitecoordinator@greeneventsco.com
Male Comp Entry Qualifying Time: 15:10 minutes or faster
Female Comp Entry Qualifying Time: 18:30 minutes or faster
Cash Prize Purse: Sponsored by The Fort Collins Running Club
Top 7 Male and Female Overall and Top 3 Masters (40+) winners will split a $6500 cash prize purse!
