Origin Story
Brandon Lee Russell, 34, of North Kansas City passed away April 8, 2017. His life ended way too soon doing one of the things he loved most, running. Six weeks later the Brandon Russell Memorial Foundation held its first event, Brandon Russell's Flash Dash 5k. Inspired by Brandon's love of running, North Kansas City, and his favorite comic book hero, The Flash, the race is an annual celebration of what defined him, compassion, fitness, and lasting bonds.
