Everything you need to know before Race Weekend!
Race Logistics
Bib pickup (bring confirmation email + ID) — two options:
- Fri, 7/24, 4–6pm at Island Autism (515 Lamberts Cove Rd.)
- Race Day, 7/25, starting 7:30AM at West Tisbury School
Race starts 8:30AM sharp at West Tisbury School — arrive early. Parking is at West Tisbury School; follow parking volunteers.
Event Schedule
- 7:15AM – Registration/bib pickup opens at West Tisbury School (arrive early!). Music by DJ King Camden The Great
- 8:00AM - Registration closes, Bibpickup remains open
- 8:20AM – Announcements & National Anthem at Start Line
- 8:25AM – Kids Fun Run at Start Line
- 8:30AM – 5K Start. Non-runners: enjoy DJ music and the raffle (supports Island Autism)
- 9:45AM – Post-race awards at West Tisbury School (top overall finishers, top age group finishers, Chirichella Adaptive Division winners)
- 10:30AM – Cool-down event at Island Autism (515 Lamberts Cove Rd.)
Post-race: complimentary hot dogs & ice cream courtesy of Pocket Dogs MV and Mad Martha's

Post-Race Event
Island Autism hosts a post-race celebration at 515 Lamberts Cove Rd. for all participants, featuring:
- Yoga session with Wholesome MV
- Specialty drinks/espresso from Andreas Brews
- Cold plunge tubs
- Treats from Morning Glory Farm
Only certified service animals are allowed on Flutie 5K courses. This is to maintain safety and compliance with the venue.

Packet pickup will open at 7AM at the event venuw on race day. More information coming soon.
Yes, race day registration will close at 8AM on race day. Your experience will be smoother if you register early.

There will be 2 water stations on the course.
All participants will receive a shirt and a medal until our inventory is gone.

We are still working on finalizing details about parking and we intend to keep parking free for all of our guests!
If your child will be 6 years or older on race day, please register them for the event. We offer age-based discounts for youth aged 6-14 years.
If your child will be under 6 years on race day, you do not need to register them unless you want them to receive their own shirt and/or medal.
At the Flutie 5K, participant safety is of the utmost importance. The following measures are being taken to mitigate issues due to heat and ticks:
- The trail components of the course will be freshly mowed down before race day
- The finish line has been moved to a paved lot so that participants are not idle in the field
- There will be an additional water stop on the course making 2 total. Both will be equipped with electrolytes.
- Chewable salt tabs will be available on site for those that need them.
- Tick wipes and individual sunscreen packets will also be available at the start.
- Upon finishing, there will be a med/cooling tent with ice, cold towels, an EMT, and refreshments nearby.
Pocket Dogs and Mad Martha's Ice Cream have donated hot dogs and popcicles, complimentary to finishers!
Immediately after the race, an award ceremony will take place at West Tisbury School. Then, all participants are invited to attend a cool-down event at Island Autism down the road (515 Lamberts Cove Rd.) where, starting around 10:30, there will be a short yoga session with Wholesome MV, specialty drinks from Andreas Brews, cold plunge tubs, and treats from Morning Glory Farm. All are welcome!
The following awards will be presented after the race:
- Top finishers
- Complimentary prizes from Lulu Lemon, The Run House and other race vendors
- Chirichella Adaptive Division
- Top 3 M/F finishers will win scholarships to their future running endeavors
- Top M/F in each age group
- Eligible to win exclusive merchandise from the Flutie Foundation and Island Autism
