Parking: There is ample parking on site at DeVries close to the start and finish line.
Where is Owosso? Owosso is off of M-52 approx a 1/2 hour from Flint, 45 minutes from Lansing, and 1 to 1.5 hours from Metro Detroit.
Can I wear cross country spikes on the course? Yes, however running shoes are perfectly fine as well.
Packet Pickup/Check-in area: Online registration only day of race. We highly recommend you register early to secure your t-shirt size. We will have VERY limited, if any, shirts available on race day. Race packets/race swag are ONLY available for pickup during packet pickup times. No shows will forfeit their swag and it will not be shipped. If you are unable to participate in the event and would like your swag you may pick it up during normal packet pickup hours. No special arrangements will be made for packet pickup. You may pickup packets for friends and family.
Where do the proceeds go? Donation proceeds will go to The Arc of Mid-Michigan. Their Mission is to empower people with developmental disabilities to participate and be fully included in the community.
Refunds: There are no refunds or deferrals for this event. This event will be held rain or shine.
Race number and chip: Your packet will contain your race number with the chip on the back, please wear your bib on the front of your shirt. Do not tamper with the bib or remove the chip, do not fold or alter your bib # in any way. You will need to wear the race bib in order for your run/walk to be timed. If you do not wear the bib you will not be in the results.
Are baby joggers and strollers allowed? Yes. We do ask that you line up in the back at the start.
Are Dogs Allowed? Yes, you may bring your dog to participate with you. They must remain on a leash at all times and please, no retractable leashes. Please line up at the back of the starting line.
Finish line: Once you have finished the race you will receive a finisher medal, please grab a bottle of water.
Fluid Stations: We will provide bottled water at the finish of the race. There will be no fluid stations on the course. Bring your own water for the course.
Restrooms: Restrooms & Port-Johns will be available on site.
Where is Owosso? Owosso is off of M-52 approximately 30 mins from Flint & Lansing, 1 to 1.5 hours from Metro Detroit, Grand Rapids, and Ann Arbor.
This is my first 5k run/walk, what should I expect? Congrats, we're excited to have you! Plan on arriving on race day morning about 1 hour prior to the start to park, get your shirt and bib number, and get warmed up. Wear the bib (your race number) on the outermost layer on your torso, we provide safety pins to pin it to your shirt. Pin in all four corners so the number does not flap when you're running/walking. Prior to the race the announcer will call everyone up to the start line. The speedy racers will line up at the front, everyone else lines up behind them. If you are running with a stroller or dog we ask that you line up at the back. The race will start and off you go! There are plenty of other participants and course support to guide you along the way. Refreshments will be available after the finish. We will text you your results, and also have a QR code for you to scan to pull up your results. Lastly and most importantly HAVE FUN! You will love the energy from the race!
