9-Hour Challenge Information
9-Hour race participants can set up alongside the course on Camping Loop E, also referred to as Runner's Alley. You will have access to your bag after completing each loop and when you are finished running.
There are no assigned spaces in Runner's Alley, so please be courteous and keep your area compact and to the side of the road. Keep the paved path clear for runners and emergency vehicles at all times.
IMPORTANT: The race organizers and Little Bennett Campground are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items. Please be careful and smart about what you store in your drop bag. Suggestions include extra shoes & socks, clothing, nutrition, etc. Keep your cash, cards, and other valuables locked in your car.
Pro tip: Bring a camp chair to mark your spot and a change of shoes and fresh socks
All 9-Hour Challenge participants are required to have a light to get around the starting area and on the race course until sunrise. Sunrise is around 7:15 this time of year.
Check your batteries the night before and plan for about 2 hours of use time.
For 9-Hour participants, the cut-off time is 3:00PM.
You must finish the entire loop before the race cut-off time for the lap to count.
When you have completed your last lap, or decide you've had enough for the day, we will collect the "tear tag" from your bib to verify that you have "Hopped Out". Once you turn in this tear tag you may not re-enter the course. You will then receive your finisher medal at the amphitheater in the race village.
To ensure that your last lap counts, make sure you cross through the start/finish lap near the amphitheater.
5-Hour and 4-Miler Information
All Froggy Hollow participants can self-crew from the race village area. Spots are on a first-come basis and are not assigned. No one will be allowed to set up alongside the course in the race village area.
Please be considerate of others and take only the space that you need, for example; a camp chair is great but a tent will not be allowed.

9-Hour and 5-Hour Relay Info
There can be up to 3 people on a relay team.
The designated relay exchange point is located near the announcer tent at the entrance to the trail. Each relay participant has their own bib, so you do not need to exchange any item to tag the next person in.
Your team can decide how to break up the time and there is no set amount of time or distance that a relay member needs to cover. One team member is allowed on the course at a time, and it is important that all other team members stay away from the timing mats so that your team's result will be accurate.
For the 9-Hour race, the cut-off time is 3:00PM. For the 5-Hour race, the cut-off time is 1:00PM.
Your last relay runner must finish the entire loop before the race cut-off time for the lap to count.
Yes, each member of the relay team will need to register themselves. During the registration process, the first registrant will enter the team name and additional registrants will join the team name. This will guarantee that we are able to link you as a "relay team".
When your team has completed your last lap, or decide you've had enough for the day, we will collect the "tear tag" from your bib to verify that you have "Hopped Out". Once you turn in this tear tag you may not re-enter the course. Each runner will then receive their finisher medal at the amphitheater in the race village.

Course
It is a mixture of single-track, fire roads, and a short road portion. Depending on recent weather, some of the course may be wet or muddy. We recommend trail shoes for this race.
Looking for a new trail shoe option? Our race partner, Altra will be on site with demo shoes that you can take for a "test drive" loop of the course!
A map of the course can be found on the main page of the race website - click below and scroll down to the Course section:
An interactive course map with elevation can also be found here: Interactive Course Map
There is a fully stocked aid station located at the Race Village. Vegetarian and vegan options will be available. Scroll down to Amenities on the race website for a menu - a final version will be sent in the Pre-Race email.
The distance of one lap of the course is approximately 4.4 miles.
The entire course will be marked with pink surveyor flags stamped with a black CCR Logo and pink flagging tape in the trees.
Although we love dogs, they are not allowed on the race course.
Strollers and other wheeled devices are not allowed on the Froggy Hollow course.
Headphones or earbuds are allowed but we ask that you either use open ear headphones (like Shokz which you can purchase at Charm City Run :)). If you use other headphones, please keep the volume low so you can hear all course directions from course marshals.
Anyone who enters the race course must be registered for the Froggy Hollow 5 & 9, and be wearing an official bib.
Post-Race Party
When the running ends, the celebration begins! At 11 AM, there will be beef chili and vegetarian chili (with all the toppings!) at the amphitheater for all participant. We will also have the campfire going throughout the morning to keep you toasty.
Charm City Run Mobile and Altra will be on site for shopping and demo shoes!
Yes, your cheering section is welcome to join you at the post-race party and help celebrate your achievement.
Chili is for runners only, but spectators can bring additional food or non-alcoholic beverages to enjoy.
