Description
Cherry Street is at it again! This time they are raising funds to help bring one of Forsyth County's own home. Currently serving in Japan for the last 3 years, Cpl. Cook would like to come home to see his family like so many others. Our mission through this race is to offer our servicemen the brief respite they deserve.
This time of year as we celebrate our Freedom, we Remember & Honor all those who served & continue to serve. Come out to Cherry Street Brewpub on July 10th for a family friendly beer mile. Ruck if you want, but it's not required. There will be three waves to choose from, the third wave being the family friendly wave. There will be a card/letter making station setup where participants (big & small) are encouraged to take a minute to write a thank you card or a note that we will collect and send off to our service men & women. Due to the fundraising nature of this event, only the 1st Overall M/F for the three waves will be awarded a gift basket. All participants will receive an awesome shirt to be revealed! In addition to the beer sample available with each lap, you'll also receive (1) Custom Finisher Medal & (1) Large Complimentary Finisher Pour (21+); juice/water for the kiddos. Kids may run free with purchased Adult ticket in the third wave; no shirt/swag/medal/bib.

How does a Beer Mile work?
Beer Miles are pretty straight forward. Here is how we'll be getting that mile in along with your ruck/run & brews.
1. We've got a 1/4 mile loop at Halcyon.
2. You'll start your lap and work your way to the brew table. STOP, get a brew of your choice & FINISH it BEFORE you head off to complete your lap! You will continue on to your next lap & stop at the brew table with each lap.
3. Again, Drink a beer upon each arrival, finish it and do your next lap.
4. Repeat until all 4 laps are complete to get the mile done! Make sure you run into the Finish at the end of your 4th lap!
5. Smile, be aware of your fellow participants, be safe & most importantly, Have fun!

Course & Timing
The course will be laps around Halcyon to conclude one mile. =) You'll get to enjoy an awesome beer sample for each lap! (*Apple juice for the kiddos in the Family Wave).
This will be a timed event with 3 waves to choose from.

Run when & where you want, just submit your time by end of Race Day(or not). We'll ship out virtual packages the Monday after event date! *Shipping available for continental US only.

Download your Custom Digital Bib! Hydrate, grab your buddy (or not) and get ready to get moving!

Get out there and run or walk! You can run at the park, your favorite route in your neighborhood; anywhere you want. Please remember to social distance & be safe!

Turkey Trot
All participants will earn (1) FREE entry into one of the 2021 Five Star Turkey Trots. See event website for additional details
Courtesy & Refund Policy
Our events are designed to be fun for the entire family. With that in mind; any
competitor, spectator, parent, volunteer, or sponsor, exhibiting unsportsmanlike
conduct or interfering with the positive, competitive atmosphere of the event will
be asked to leave the venue and course immediately with no refunds.
All registrations are final. There are no refunds, deferments, or transfers.
Event will take place rain or shine. In the event of extreme weather, we will cancel
for the safety of the participants...there are no refunds in this case.
Participants that do not show up to race/event forfeit their right to any swag.
No COVID-19 Refunds. If unforeseen circumstances arise due to COVID-19, including any Federal or State Health Emergency, refunds will not be provided. The event will go 100% Virtual & shirts will be shipped to participants.
