Join Silence the Shame’s 2nd annual Virtual 5K from Friday, August 20th - Friday, September 24th, to bring awareness to mental health and suicide prevention. This year we are taking our virtual experience to another level by expanding our love of competition and fundraising. We are connecting with friends, family, clubs, volunteer groups, organizations across major cities to build awareness, donate to eliminate mental health stigma, and reduce rates of suicide.
Virtual 5K means running, walking, hiking anywhere, anytime with anyone!
Here's how it works:
Step 1: REGISTER: Register as an individual or a team here. When you sign up as a team captain, register five additional people and raise $100 to receive an STS drawstring bag.
Step 2: SPREAD THE WORD: Make this fun by encouraging your friends and family to participate.
Step 3: FUNDRAISE: If you raise $50 or more you will receive Silence the Shame gear*. ($50 = 5K T-shirt, $250 = Workout Towel, $500 = Cooler)
* Silence the Shame gear will be mailed AFTER the 5K concludes at the end of September. If you can't wait, shop our store by clicking here!
Step 4: WALK: Put on your Silence the Shame T-shirt (if you have one) and Run, Walk, or Skip a 5K, anytime, anywhere!
Step 5: POST: Post a Picture to your favorite social media platform using the OMG Photo Booth Virtual Frame that will be available during the 5K. Use hashtags #STS5K2021 #silencetheshame #suicideprevention
Together we can promote wellness in all communities.
