Description
It's Fall and the time is about to FALL BACK!! Come and Beat the Clock and run the... "The Fall Back 5K." This 5K is NOT your typical virtual race ... This is VIRTUALLY REAL!! Each participant will run the SAME course any date between October 17th and November 1st 2020 and will be timed using RaceJoy . The course consists of 3.1 miles of rolling hills around scenic downtown Alpharetta and Avalon.
To make this a VIRTUALLY REAL road run we will be using the RaceJoy application that can be easily downloaded for free on your smartphone. The RaceJoy App will submit your run directly to our results page and will allow us to have official run results with Overall and Age Group winners and awards. Participants can run and submit results as many times as they want between October 17th and November 1st, the best time will count toward the final results.
5k course will start in front of the CORE 57 fitness studio and Alpharetta City Hall- in City Center downtown Alpharetta- The course will start and stay on the sidewalk for the entire run . Runners will head north on the sidewalk and turn right on to Academy Street. You will run on the on the sidewalk on Academy then make a right turn on to Westside Parkway. Head up Westside past Avalon and turn right onto Old Milton Parkway then enjoy a fast segment down to Haynes Bridge where they will take a right. Just past the roundabout you make a safe crossing at the crosswalk t onto Park Plaza. On the sidewalk you will run the last 250 Yards to the finish at Core 57 and City Hall.
*** Race must be ran with the RaceJoy smartphone application to be included in official race results and eligible for awards ***
