Event Description
Come and enjoy a great 5K Race. Barnett Shoals Elementary School & The Bear Family are inviting you to join us in raising awareness & promoting acceptance as we “Light Up The Night.” for Autism Awareness & Acceptance Month. A portion of the proceeds from the race fundraiser will help support the students in the Adaptive Curriculum Program at Barnett Shoals Elementary School.

This is a fun run for all ages that will be self contained to the school campus.

Price:$10.00 Race Fee + $2.28 SignUp Fee
Price increases to $15.00 + $2.57 SignUp Fee after April 1, 2026 at 11:59pm EDT
T-Shirts are available for purchase price of $15.00 through April 1, 2026
5K Run/Walk
This will be a "glow" Run/Walk. You will be provided glow sticks to carry with you.

Price:$30.00 Race Fee + $3.44 SignUp Fee
Registration:Price increases to $35.00 + $3.73 Signup Fee after April 1, 2026 at 11:59pm EDT

Course
The 5K course will start and finish at Barnett Shoals Elementary School and run along the sidewalk along Barnett Shoals Road and through adjacent neighborhoods

Overall Male/Female, Masters Male/Female and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Male and Female in standard 10-year age groups:
10 and Under, 11-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80 and Over.

The Barnett Shoals Elementary School Autism Awareness Acceptance 5K is proud to be a member of the Black Bag Race Series.
Finishline management and timing provided by Classic Race Services.
What if it Rains?
We get wet! Race start time may be delayed in 15-minute increments if storms are in the area. Sorry, no refunds due to inclement weather.
