This race is to benefit The Junior League of Athens (JLA) an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. JLA is dedicated to empowering children and to guiding their journey into a productive life using the diverse talents of passionate, trained volunteers. All proceeds from the Bookin’ It 15k benefit JLA’s focus area of improving literacy in the Athens area and surrounding communities.
