Description
Funds are being raised in memory of Evyonne and Bill Johns to support scholarships for students entering post-secondary studies in the field of education. Their careers spanned through public, private, university, and international advocacy for young people everywhere. Our vision is to extend their passion through a memorial scholarship to help support future educators.

Course
The course starts and finishes at Green Acres Baptist Church and runs through the (hilly) Green Acres neighborhood.
T-Shirts
T-shirts are guaranteed for registrations received by September 9, 2024. After that date shirts will be available while supplies last.
Awards
Awards are given to Overall Male / Female, Masters Male/Female and the following Male / Female Age Groups:
5-year age groups: 10 and Under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 and Over
Virtual Option
Run your 3.1 miles anywhere. Submit your finish time by clicking on the RESULTS tab at the top of this page. Submit finish times no later than 12 noon on October 5, 2024. To submit a virtual time you must be registered as a virtual runner.
Virtual runners are not eligible for race day awards.
Race Series and Finishline Management
The Green Acres Memorial 5K for Education is proud to be a member of the Black Bag Race Series and the Clover Glove Race Series.
Finish line management and timing provided by Classic Race Services.
What if it Rains?
We get wet! Race start time may be delayed in 15-minute increments if storms are in the area. Sorry, no refunds due to inclement weather.
