Dragon Con Hustle: Ready Player Run 5k

Dragon Con Charity Events is pleased to announce the 6th Annual Dragon Con Hustle event...the Ready Player Run 5k!

This year we're celebrating video games with this awesome 8-bit medal! Everyone who registers for Dragon Con Hustle: Ready Player Run 5k will get this awesome 3" MOVING medal featuring a lenticular surface and a runner that you can move from level to level to avoid the dragon fire! It comes on a beautiful dye-sublimated ribbon featuring the Dragon Con logo and the logo of the charity beneficiary for this event: Hope Atlanta. You'll also get a custom digital bib for you to download and print out or use on social media.  You can use any bib name and bib number you want. You can be "Jenny"/"867-5309" if you want...or have "42" or "9 3/4"...Make it fun!   NOTE:  Bibs are created via a manual process and may take up to 48 hours to appear in our bib archive.

If you are attending Dragon Con, you'll be able to pick up your medal at the Charity Events booth on the Marquis level of the Marriott, Thursday from 2pm-6pm, Friday Saturday and Sunday from 10am-6pm, and Monday 10am-2pm.  If you are unable to make it to Dragon Con this year, or just forget to pick yours up, we will mail your medal to you in mid-September.  Note for Non-US participants:  You will be charged $9 to help cover some of the international shipping, but if you pick up your medal in person, contact us here for a complete refund of your international shipping.

The charity beneficiary this year is Hope Atlanta! Hope Atlanta aims to not only provide shelter and housing, but to spark a transformation that empowers individuals and families to overcome homelessness, live independently, and achieve self-sufficiency.

This event is "virtual" meaning that you can complete the distance any way at any location you want...including logging miles/getting steps AT Dragon Con!  You can walk, hike, run, skip, roll or dance your 5k in your neighborhood, on your treadmill, around your backyard, or anywhere you want!  You can even break up the distance and complete it over several days to make it more manageable! 

This event is on the "honor system", so we don't need "proof" of completion.  As long as you're registered, you'll get your medal.  BUT...we want you to post your sweaty selfie, or sweaty "usie", on social media afterwards, make sure to tag us with #DragonConHustle @DC_Charity and @hopeatlanta so we can see it and give you a virtual high-five!

Your registration fee is a tax-deductible donation to Hope Atlanta.  Your confirmation email will serve as your receipt, so hold on to it for tax purposes.
