Dragon Con Hustle: 5k Trek

Dragon Con Charity Events is pleased to announce the 4th Annual Dragon Con Hustle event...the 5k Trek!

Everyone who registers for Dragon Con Hustle: 5k Trek will get this awesome 3" medal featuring the Dragon zooming through space atop a mighty starship at warp speed!  It comes on a beautiful dye-sublimated ribbon featuring the Dragon Con logo and the logo of the charity beneficiary for this event: the Arthritis Foundation!  You'll also get a custom digital bib for you to download and print out or use on social media.  You can use any bib name and bib number you want. You can be "Jenny"/"867-5309" if you want...or have "42" or "9 3/4"...Make it fun!   NOTE:  Bibs are created via a manual process and may take up to 48 hours to appear in our bib archive.

If you are attending Dragon Con, you'll be able to pick up your medal at the Charity Events booth on the Marquis level of the Marriott, Thursday from 2pm-6pm, Friday Saturday and Sunday from 10am-6pm, and Monday 10am-2pm.  If you are unable to make it to Dragon Con this year, or just forget to pick yours up, we will mail your medal to you in mid-September.

The charity beneficiary this year is Arthritis Foundation!  Since 1948, the Arthritis Foundation has led the fight to conquer arthritis, which now affects nearly 60 million adults and hundreds of thousands of children in the United States as well as their families and loved ones. The Arthritis Foundation is boldly pursuing a cure for America's #1 cause of disability while championing the fight to conquer arthritis with life-changing science, resources, advocacy and community connections. They are "Champions of Yes"!

This event is "virtual" meaning that you can complete the distance any way at any location you want...including logging miles/getting steps AT Dragon Con!  You can walk, hike, run, skip, roll or dance your 5k in your neighborhood, on your treadmill, around your backyard, or anywhere you want!  You can even break up the distance and complete it over several days to make it more manageable! 

This event is on the "honor system", so we don't need "proof" of completion.  As long as you're registered, you'll get your medal.  BUT...we want you to post your sweaty selfie, or sweaty "usie", on social media afterwards, make sure to tag us with #DragonConHustle @DC_Charity and @arthritisfoundation so we can see it and give you a virtual high-five!

Your registration fee is a tax-deductible donation to the Arthritis Foundation.  Your confirmation email will serve as your receipt, so hold on to it for tax purposes.
