Purpose of The WALK
The walk is approximately one mile round trip in a safe designated area near the Atlanta Airport Marriott Gateway hotel. We encourage you to walk with us virtually if you aren't able to attend in person. You can even post your walk results.
WHY WE WALK
The Gloria Chapmon Walk-A-Thon, named after one of the past presidents, Gloria Chapmon, who strongly advocated for the
Intellectually Developmentally Disabled (IDD) community, is held biennially during the national convention, and biennially by chapters during the interim years between Boule's. The funds raised are awarded to a local organization in the Host City where the Boule' is held and The Arc of the United States, if enough funds are available. During the interim years funds raised by the chapters in their communities are awarded by the chapters to a local organization.
SUPPORT THE WALK
You can support us by making a donation, or consider a sponsorship to further the contributions we make to the charities we support. Giving back to the Intellectually Developmentally Disabled (IDD) community is near and dear to Eta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated founders' vision of "Not for Ourselves, But for Others".
