Lekotek 5k/10k and 1 Mile Fun Run

Lekotek is so excited to be back live and in person and at a new location. We think it will be the best yet!  In person and virtual race options are available for all distances.

Support Lekotek's Annual 5k/10k and 1 Mile fun run.  This event supports Lekotek's vision to create a world where children with disabilities are included and empowered through play. Our mission is to facilitate the inclusion of children with disabilities into their families, schools and communities by providing accessible play, adapted toys, technology, information and resources.

What does virtual race really mean? It means you can run your race anywhere and anytime between August 20 and August 27th.  Run your race during the event time frame and submit you results by August 27th at 11:59 pm.  Results will be posted showing your ranking overall and in your age group.  Information will be emailed prior to the start of the event on how to submit your results.      

All adult participants receive a long sleeve full-color T-shirt. All children receive a short sleeve T-shirt and medals. Virtual participants will have the option to pickup up their race tshirt in person or have them mailed at the completion of the event.   SHIRT PICK UP.  If you can’t attend and/or are a phantom runner, Shirt Pick up at Lekotek begins Monday, August 30th.

Please verify that your mailing address is accurate in your RunSignUp account.  Shirts will be mailed to address in your account.   Participants who elect to pickup their shirt in person will receive a discounted registration rate.  Please register accordingly.  ** DURING THE REGISTRATION PLEASE OPT IN TO RECEIVE EMAIL MESSAGES.  IMPORTANT MESSAGES WILL BE SENT REGARDING VIRTUAL EVENT INSTRUCTIONS PRIOR TO EVENT START DATE. 

Not really into running, but want to support Lekotek, then register as a Phantom Runner and receive a tshirt to show your support.

RaceJoy will be offered for the event.  This is a free interactive app that you download to your phone that allows runners and spectators to interact and support each other during the run.   There are also a few messages from Lekotek along the way!  Check it out... it's tons of fun.  More information on RaceJoy will be sent to all participants prior to the event. 

There will be race awards only for the in person race. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place team participation awards. Prizes for first overall master’s male and female and first overall male and female 5k and 10k finishers; 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards in each age group (male and female). Age groups: 10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69,70-74 and 75 and over. Virtual and Phantom runners will be placed in a drawing to win a $10 Amazon gift card.
