At the outset of the COVID-19 pandemic our team at GCADV, volunteers, and partners made the decision to postpone our race scheduled for May 3rd. We have set the new race date for Sunday, November 22, 2020.
If there is a significant decrease in risk by November 22nd, the race will continue in-person with modifications. The modifications will include but are not limited to: a virtual participation option, staggering individual start times, maintaining social distancing guidelines, face coverings required for staff and volunteers, and increased cleaning and disinfection in common areas. If we feel that the health and wellness of our participants, staff, volunteers and vendors are at risk we will be moving to a fully virtual race. Regardless of whether the event is in-person or virtual -we will be racing for empowerment on November 22!
We are also working on some new commemorative swag... more on that to come!
This 5k benefits GCADV. Representing domestic violence agencies, advocates, allied individuals and survivors throughout the state, GCADV works to expand services, increase public awareness and change public policy. Run for a good cause and get an awesome medal and commemorative swag for your participation!
If you had signed up as a participant before this postponement was announced and you would like to learn about your options (for continuing in the race, switching to virtual, donating your registration fee, or receiving a refund) please email email@example.com.
