Please plan to join us for this very special inaugural road race, the “Veteran's Day 5K Challenge” in remembrance and honor of our US Military Veterans Held Saturday morning, November 13th at 8:00 AM and sponsored by the Carterville High School JROTC Program. Runners will experience a very unique race route that starts and finishes on the track of historic Weinman Stadium on the campus of Cartersville High School, in Downtown Cartersville, GA! Race Proceeds will go to benefit Veteran’s assistance programs and the Cartersville High School JROTC program.
As a Unique Twist, competitors will also be able to compete (if they so choose) in the “Challenge” portion of the race! This would include running/walking the 5K route with a weighted rucksack of 25 (Females) and 35 (Males). You may use your own or one of ours, just let us know!
Awards will be given to the top 3 overall Male and Female Winners along with the Top overall Masters Male & Female as well as the top three Male/Female within each age group category. Additionally, the High Schools JROTC Programs with the most participants will also receive a $500 donation to their program.
This is a race route we think you will love! Starting on track, the route will utilize both city streets around the CHS campus as well as the grounds of the American Legion Cartersville Post (can’t think of a better location to honor Veterans!) with a loop in the front of the CHS Main building off of Church St. and re-entering the track for a fantastic Stadium Finish with Members of the Cartersville HS JROTC flying our Nation’s Colors with pride!
*$25 Pre-Race Registration Fee (Runs until 11:00 PM, Sunday evening, November 7th. You must register by this date to guarantee your T-shirt size and lock in at the reduced rate!)
*$35 Race Day Registration Fee
5K Start-Finish & Race Day Parking:
*The Start & Finish Line(s) will be located on the track in Weinman Stadium on the campus of Cartersville High School. Race Day Parking will be located on the campus of Cartersville High School (East Parking lot, facing Church St. and Dixie Ave.) as well as area surface streets. See attached Race Route Map for Course Reference.

Pre-Registration Packet Pick up:
*Pre-Registration Packet Pick up will be held Friday, November 12th from 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Packet Pick-Up Location information will be shared with you at a later time, but well prior to the race! There will also be race-day packet pick-up available as well, so you won’t miss it!

*Top Masters Male and Top Masters Female Winners
