Run Like It's the End of the Month

Pratt & Whitney Virtual 5K Challenge  

The challenge is on!  The Pratt & Whitney Mod Centers are challenging each other to a 5K "run" for some much needed fun and bragging rights. But the race is not limited to just the mod center employees; all employees, friends and families are invited to participate.

So join us and let's see who can really run like it's the end of the month!

What is a Virtual Race?

A virtual race is a race that can be run (or walked) from any location you choose. You can run, jog or walk on the road, on the trail, on the treadmill. . . run your own race! Run at your own speed, any day in September and October, and time it yourself. Choose your method to track your time.

The competition doesn't end with the finish line. The Pratt & Whitney Mod Centers are competing for participation, race time, donations and photos to document the fun!  

Costs to Participate:

Your cost to participate is your registration fee. That's all. The first 100 participants will receive an auto magnet to show that you participated in the Challenge!

But ... let's also benefit others in our community.  We strongly encourage you to make a monetary donation to the United Way or your favorite charity through Benevity. All donations are matched and you will receive an additional thank you gift.

How to donate through Benevity and ensure an RTX Matching Donation:

Don’t forget to have your donation matched through our Benevity Giving in EmpowerU. RTX will match dollar for dollar donations to the United Way and all you have to do is upload your donation receipt.  

To Donate through Benevity:  Go to  MySite > Empower U > Volunteering and Giving at UTC > Matching Gifts and Volunteer Opportunities (Launch) then select > Make a Donation > Request a Match

Your site will advise if there is a recommended donation recipient or if it is open. 

Rules for Virtual 5K Run/Walk:

• Runners and site teams have between Sept 1 - October 31 to complete their 5K Run/Walk.

• Times must be uploaded to this site.

• You can print your completion certificate and add your name, team name and time to the certificate.

• Upload your photos (with or without your completion certificate) on our RaceDay Photos page and tag @PWVirtual5K #Team (name from registration).

• Please observe our COVID-19 Guidelines regarding facial coverings, social distancing and not engaging in large groups.
