Wall Sit Challenge - March 1 - 31

Wall sits (or wall squats) are an isometric exercise, which is an exercise where you hold a particular position without moving.

Isometric exercises work your muscles by making you hold them steady, rather than actively lifting, pulling or pushing. As you hold the sit, your muscles have to work against gravity. This resistance helps you build strength and works your range of motion.

Benefits of wall sits: Builds abs & back muscles, burns fat, improves posture, powers your quads, provides better balance, can reduce knee pain (by strengthening quads & hamstrings), and no equipment needed - just your body and a wall.

Good Form Wall Sit: A wall sit is performed by bracing your back against a wall and sliding down until you’re in a sitting position. This exercise helps strengthen your thighs and calves by making them do the work of a chair, keeping you suspended in the air.

Registration will close on 3/10/26. Participation is for the month of March.

Send Carolee an email @ caroleeluther@gmail.com at the end of each week letting me know how you are progressing. At the end of the month let Carolee know you have completed the challenge. Gotta love a challenge!
