Description
Celebrate Veterans Day weekend by running with your very own Hometown Heroes!!
Join the Forsyth County Fire Department for a 5K supporting the men and women in public safety that support us every day! The course’s start and finish, as well as race day check-in, will be at the Cumming City Center. All the money raised by this event goes straight to B.A.D.G.E., a local organization that provides financial or other assistance to public safety employees facing unforeseen circumstances such as injury or family crisis!

Course Map & Timing
We will start at the Cumming City Center, go up Vision Drive, turn right onto Vision Pkwy, turn right onto Hwy 306, turn right onto Tribble Gap Rd., turn right onto Webb St., and turn right onto Canton Hwy to return to the City Center finish at the City Center’s Fire Museum.
Start and finish times will be chip timed with awards based on finish time.

Early Bird Pricing (June 10 - July 10): $35 + a FREE gift (available at packet pickup)
Regular Pricing (July 11 - Oct. 20): $40
Late/Day-Of Pricing (Oct. 21-Race Day): $45
*NOTE: Late and Day- Of registrations are NOT guaranteed T-shirts. All participants registered by Oct. 20 are guaranteed a shirt in their selected size.
- On-site race day registration (if not sold out) will be available starting at 7 AM until 15 minutes before race start time. Please be prepared to log in to your RunSignUp account in order to register on-site on race day.
- Race day registration payments can be made with a credit card (no cash or checks).

Event Beneficiary
Funds raised by the Hometown Heroes 5K go directly to supporting Benevolent Association Dedicated to Giving to Employees of Forsyth County Service Organizations, Inc. (B.A.D.G.E.). B.A.D.G.E. strives to give back to employees of the Forsyth County Service Organizations through restoring confidence, hope and peace of mind through financial and other support when unforeseen or unwelcome circumstances enter their lives.
Awards & Goodies
All race finishers will receive a goodie bag with a race T-shirt (if registered before deadline), a challenge coin, City Center coupons, custom Hometown Heroes 5K BibBoards, a banana and granola bar at the finish line!

10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 54-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+
Groups & Teams
Grab your friends, co-workers, neighbors or family and participate as a GROUP/TEAM. Your TEAM can be local or across the states; virtual participants will have their shirts shipped! Teams of 5 or more receive discounts off their registration, discounts below.
5+: $2.50 off
11+: $3.75 off
21+: $5 off
51+: $6.25 off

Virtual Running
Can't make it out to the event site on race day? Still want to participate or support the cause? You can run when and where you want, just submit your time by end of Race Day. We'll ship out virtual packages the Monday after event date! *Shipping available for continental US only.
Step 1: Sign up and register for the Hometown Heroes 5K virtual option.
Step 2: Download your Custom Digital Bib below! Hydrate and prepare to get moving!
Step 3: Get out there and run or walk! You can run at the park, your favorite route in your neighborhood; anywhere you want. Please remember to be safe and have fun!
Step 4: Share your distance, a selfie, or a picture along your race route and use the hashtag #FCFDHH5K
Step 5: Submit your results directly on RunSignUp.com. You can submit your race time HERE on the Virtual Results page anytime until 11/9/24 at 11:59 p.m.
Step 6: View your Virtual Results the Monday after the Event Date.

This event is designed to be fun for the entire family. With that in mind, any competitor, spectator, parent, volunteer, or sponsor, exhibiting unsportsmanlike conduct or interfering with the positive, competitive atmosphere of the event will be asked to leave the venue and course immediately with no refunds.
