Description
The Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office Bridge the Gap Community 5K is a family-friendly community run/walk for men, women, and children. Held at the beautiful Rabbit Hill Park in Dacula, GA, this event encourages fitness, while also fostering relationships and positive connections between the community and law enforcement personnel. Participants get to enjoy a healthy, fun-filled event, establish impactful relationships, and support a worthy cause.
The scenic course will take you through the park’s beautiful scenery and trails, around the dog park, the lake and the soccer fields.
All proceeds benefit the Keybo Building Bridges Foundation, founded on behalf of the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office. This foundation was designed to cultivate community relations by creating sustainable philanthropic solutions through robust community engagement. Proceeds from the race helps the Sheriff's Office provide free backpacks and school supplies at the annual Back-to-School Bash, meals for underserved families with food insecurities at the annual Thanksgiving Food Giveaway, scholarships for Gwinnett County children of law enforcement officers and military veterans, mentorship programs for youth football camps, and much more.

Runners will run the 1.55-mile trail to the end and back to equal 3.1 miles.
TIMING:
The timing device for this event is RFID timing by Performance Race Services.
In order to receive an accurate time, please confirm that your bib is:
· Clearly visible on the front of the torso
· Unaltered and unmodified (not folded or wrinkled)
· Pinned in all four corners
· Uncovered (jackets, fuel belts, etc.)
Results are published live within a few minutes of completion and are chip to chip times for crossing the timing pad.
