After a resounding success in 2022, the beloved Carpet Capital 10 Miler is back for 2023! Using the original out-and-back course on the scenic Old Prater’s Mill Road and McGaughey Chapel Road, the race will begin at Varnell Elementary, traveling down Prater’s Mill Road, before turning left on Old Prater’s Mill Road and proceeding along most of McGaughey Chapel Road, finally turning around and re-following the course to the start/finish line. This is a USATF certified course, #GA18089WC. Proceeds from the event will benefit local youth athletics. In 2022, the race was able to donate over $2000 to Ringgold High School's Cross Country and Track and Field programs. This year, we're opening up grant applications for all area youth athletics programs.
