It's that time of year again, and the dogs are loose at Rock Creek Park in Dawsonville.
On April 25 you'll have a chance to help the dogs out by participating in the 4th annual 5K & Fun Run. Awesome shirts, overall & age group awards, dog friendly, music, fun, loads of great stuff will be waiting for you after you finish a super fast 5K on our CERTIFIED course.

Our goal is to raise $15,000 this year. If you can help us out by raising $250, we'll refund your registration fee.
Event Beneficiary
Proceeds from the event go to the Dawson County Humane Society, a NO kill shelter dedicated to finding homes for the homeless dogs & cats in Dawson County.
Course & Timing
Great Certified Flat & Fast course inside Rock Creek Park. We'll be electronically timing everyone.
Virtual Race
You don't have to come on Saturday to get the shirt, and have a shot at awards!
Can't make it out to the event site on race day? Still want to participate and have a shot at an award? or maybe you saw the shirt and said: "Sweet...I want one!"
Then the virtual race is for you.
Here's how it works:
- Register for the Virtual division & Start Training
- The day before the race you'll receive instructions & a link to submit your race time
- Submit your race time by end of race day
- The day after the race results (Virtual Runner division) will be posted online
- Monday after the race you'll receive an email with a link to the results & any pictures.
- Monday after the race we'll package up all the T-shirts, medals, and Keepsake Bibs; and put them in the mail.

We have awards in the following categories:
- Top 3 overall M/F
- Top 3 overall Master's M/F (40 Years +)
- Top 3 overall Grand Master M/F (50 Years +)
- Top 3 overall Senior Master M /F (60 Years +)
- Top 3 in each of the normal 5 year age groups 10 & Under through 75+.
Awesome race shirts (guaranteed in your size if you register by 4/7, afterwards they're available while supplies last.
The fun doesn't end when you cross the finish line...the Humane society has loads of things lined up to make it a great day.

Have a dog that likes to run?
It's a Dog's Day at the park. You can bring your pooch to run the 5K or sit with you during the 0K. We'll be handing out awards to the fastest dogs too!
Groups & Teams
Grab your family, friends, and co-workers and participate as a team…you can score a great discount, and nothing will replace the additional fun.

Five Star Championships & Turkey Trot
- All participants will automatically qualify for:
- FREE entry into the Five Star Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot or the Early Bird Turkey Trot
- Top finishers will also have the opportunity earn a spot in the championships to be held in January 2021. The number of spots available is based on the total registration...see event website for details.
Event Courtesy & Refund Policy
- Our events are designed to be fun and for the entire family. With that in mind any competitor, spectator, parent, volunteer, or sponsor, exhibiting unsportsmanlike conduct or interfering with the positive, competitive atmosphere of the event will be asked to leave the venue and course immediately with no refunds.
- All registrations are final...We're sorry, but their are no refunds, deferments, or transfers.
- Event will go rain or shine...in the event of lighting or other dangerous conditions, the event would be cancelled...we're sorry, but there are no refunds in this instance
- Unfortunately any shirts & swag not picked up by the event start will be forfeited. We cannot mail shirt and giveaways.
