What does this mean?
Everyone who has already registered can do a VIRTUAL run. Lace up your shoes and get out there on your own or in small groups to do a 5K or 1 mile run or walk ANY day, ANY time and on your own schedule.
We will be mailing out our DRI-FIT race T-shirts, so please wear your shirt and send us a picture or selfie of you running or walking in your Daffodil Dash shirt.
We would love for you to continue encouraging friends and family to donate and/or register to join our efforts virtually. We appreciate your participation and ongoing support.
Thank you to our incredible Daffodil Dash sponsors who are continuing to support our race virtually.
On March 29th, we will be awarding prizes for the biggest team, as well as the top individual and team fundraisers.
This year, our top individual fundraiser wins an APPLE WATCH.
We will be posting pictures and comments on our website, facebook and instagram pages. Tag the Daffodil Project and use the hashtag #DAFFODILDASH2020.
The Daffodil Dash is a major fundraiser that supports our mission of Holocaust and Genocide education and awareness. Funds raised support the building of the worldwide Living Holocaust Memorial, as well as the “Kids for Kids”, “Raising South Sudan” and “Agahozo Shalom” organizations helping children and families in remote villages in Darfur, South Sudan and Rwanda. The race also supports the Atlanta Holocaust Survivor fund, providing medical, dental and home care for aging Holocaust survivors. Our efforts are especially important and relevant in light of current rising acts of anti-semitism, refugee crises, genocides, and hate crimes occurring in the world today.
As a community, we can still come together with strength and compassion. Daffodils will be planted in Brook Run Park in honor of each runner/walker/donor/sponsor of this year’s virtual Daffodil Dash. We are so very grateful for your continued support.
We look forward to when we can once again join together for the annual Daffodil Dash, but until then, thank you for participating VIRTUALLY.
