Description
Vanderlyn Elementary invites you to our 19th VanderDash 5k and Fun Run on March 20, 2027 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM! All proceeds raised from VanderDash support Vanderlyn Elementary School students, faculty and staff, and fund school and classroom improvements and programs.
The 5K is an official qualifier for the 2027 Northside Hospital Peachtree Road Race. Awards will be given to the top 5K runners in various age groups. The 5K and Fun Run are walker and stroller friendly!

Important Registration Details
Please only enter the teacher’s name when registering a current Vanderlyn student. Parents and other relatives should be registered as a “Parent/Community Member”, NOT under a teacher’s name. Anyone registered incorrectly under a teacher’s name will be disqualified from the class competition.
Registration Options:
Family Sponsorship - $150
- Includes five (5) race entries
- Five race shirts (if registered by 2/19/2027)
- Your family name on the race website
- A yard sign to proudly display your contribution to Vanderlyn.
- Your Family Sponsorship donation to the VanderDash is tax deductible to the extent of the law.
5K - $30 (Nov. 2, 2026 - Dec. 31, 2026) / $35 (Jan. 1, 2027 - Mar. 20, 2027)
Fun Run - $25
Non-Running Sponsor - $25: If you are interested in supporting VanderDash, but not interested in running, you can sign up as a Non-Running Sponsor.
All registrants will be guaranteed a race t-shirt if registered by February 19, 2027!
Registration remains open until race day on 3/20/2027, but race shirts are not guaranteed if registering after 2/19/2027. Registration will be available on race day via QR code with credit/debit card only.
Race Day Timeline
7:00 AM: 5K Race Bib Pick Up Begins in the gym (Race Day registration is available via QR code with credit/debit card only)
8:00 AM: Fun Run
8:30 AM: 5K
9:30 AM: Awards
Parking
Parking is available at Dunwoody High School. There will be no parking on Vanderlyn Dr. or at Vanderlyn Elementary.
