2021 Turtle Crawl 5K - Virtual Race

The fan-favorite annual race event returns virtually on May 1, 2021. Race with us from your favorite stretch of sand or pavement as we mark the start of sea turtle nesting season on the Georgia coast. This important fundraising event supports the lifesaving work of the Georgia Sea Turtle Center. Your support helps continue the Center’s mission of sea turtle rehabilitation, research, and education.

While we encourage you to track and share your progress with friends and family, we will not be collecting official race times or declaring winners. Every turtle-loving supporter is a winner this year! And, although this is a virtual event, you are encouraged to visit picturesque Jekyll Island to run! REGISTRATION LEVELS

Loggerhead:

• Registration includes a 2021 Turtle Crawl T-shirt & Race Medal:   $40
  • Limited to only 200 participants (Register early!)
    
  • T-shirt and medal will be mailed to you

Kemp’s Ridley:

• Registration includes a 2021 Turtle Crawl T-shirt:                            $30
  
  • T-shirt will be mailed to you

Ghost Crawler:

• Sleep in and still provide loving support to the Center                     $ Donation of Choice

DELIVERY

RACE REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE SUNDAY, APRIL 4 AT 11:59 PM

To guarantee a race T-shirt delivery by race day, complete your registration by the date above.

Depending on the selected registration level, race materials, including medals and T-shirts, will be mailed beginning late April. While every effort will be made to deliver materials by race day, delivery could be delayed due to mail carrier shipping and production changes as a result of the pandemic.

Turtle Crawl was created in 2003 as a fundraiser for the Georgia Sea Turtle Center to support its mission of sea turtle research, rehabilitation, and education. In more than a decade of operation, the Georgia Sea Turtle Center has provided care for more than 3,000 patients, including a variety of sea turtle species and other coastal wildlife. Turtle Crawl participants have raised more than $100,000 to help save sea turtles and we sincerely appreciate your support for this event!
